Updates to Mickey's Toontown (may be the final one)

I have done many, many threads related to updating Mickey's Toontown, and now, it's about to happen to the land for real: it will be shut down for over a year and reopen with Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway added in.

To that end, I've also heard that the area along the southern end of the land, with Donald and Goofy's homes and Gadget's Go Coaster, would all remain, as would Roger Rabbit:

As great as it is that Toontown is finally getting some TLC, as well as removing the eyesores that are the Jolly Trolley and Chip 'n' Dale's Treehouse, I would also like to try and finish up the rest of the land to go along with it, based on the artwork.

I will go into more detail soon, but for now, all I will tell you is that the Go Coaster will be rethemed to something more timeless, maybe something duck-related given its proximity to Donald's Boat. Also, Goofy's House will get something more exciting.

Until then, what do you think? Also, this may be the last "update Toontown" thread I will ever do now that it's finally happening for real.

Toontown Transit will be awesome addition for a new Roger Rabbit attraction so we will have two Roger Rabbit attractions for Toontown update.

In any case, as with all of my armchair Imagineering, these ideas of mine will try to conform to the real world as much as possible (versus conforming the real world to my ideas, as a lot of people like to do here).

To start with, Goofy's House will become Goofy's Paint 'n' Playhouse, a replica of the attraction at Tokyo Disneyland. From the concept art, I think the area surrounding Goofy's House now looks open enough to allow the line for it. Here's a sample video of the attraction in action (along with the queue for it, hence my comment on the surrounding space being open):

Here's another video, with another retheme of the room (the first video turned the room into a spaceship, the second turns the room into a Western saloon):

In any case, I just wish I knew what Goofy was saying there, because he's speaking Japanese. I tried to post that question in the comments page, but the only thing I got back was that at the start (at 1:54 in the second video), Goofy said, "Everyone it will begin, start!", which I guess means, "Ready? Go!"

I'm not sure what to do with Donald's Boat, so I'm guessing I will just leave as whatever they do with it. The concept art indicates it will remain, so I hope it does remain, if somewhat updated.

However, next door, Gadget's Go Coaster will be rethemed as sort of an extension of Donald's residence. The concept would be based around those backyard roller coasters that have become so popular lately. Basically, the area where Gadget's Go Coaster is now would be extended as Donald's backyard. It would be a roller coaster he had built for his nephews as a way to keep them out of his way. The ride would basically be called "Huey, Dewey and Louie's Backyard Blast" or something. Sorry, that's the best I can think of. The load area would be Donald's workshop/shed/garage where he built the coaster.

What do you think?

If you are going with an extension of Donald's garden, then perhaps the Go Coaster can be rethemed to have been constructed by Gyro Gearloose, a character from DuckTales, and friend to Donald and Uncle Scrooge. He is a quirky inventor who has been known to design things for Huey, Dewey, and Louie that have an extra kick to them.

Everyone seems to be advocating for more stuff related to the comics, "Duck" or otherwise (or "DuckTales"), but frankly, I barely know about Gyro, and I'm not sure if the majority of people coming to the park know who he is either.

Well, the same could be said for Gadget's Go Coaster, but the DuckTales reboot ended recently, and was popular amongst those who watched it, so there is an audience there who would know the character. Disney+ also allows people to be familiar with the character through both versions of the show. Besides, you don't have to have a necessary awareness of characters or IPs before visiting related attractions in the parks. For example, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride has been at Disneyland since opening day, and how many people are aware that he originates from a 1940s package film?

Of course, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are more well known, so your idea of basing it around them is an equally suitable choice for the Go Coaster. I don't really imagine Donald building a rollercoaster for his nephews, unless it was for his own self-gratification or pride, or the trio designed it themselves storywise.

Maybe they designed it and then presented the design to their uncle, who only built it begrudgingly.

I just feel that the subject matter should endure or else be reconfigured to appeal to current audiences.

The load area would be Donald's garage, and on the wall would be several more Disney-themed license plates, like those in the queue for Roger Rabbit. Among them would be "PU N TGGR", "MAD HAT R", "NEVRLND", "0 2 HRO", "RSQRS" and "ANA N LSA".

As a subtle nod to another more recent show with Mickey and the gang (albeit about 20 years old now), another name for the roller coaster I've thought of was "Huey, Dewey and Louie's Rocket Ruckus". The name actually comes from a Donald cartoon called "Donald's Rocket Ruckus", which was shown on "MouseWorks"/"House of Mouse" and was even made available as a bonus (along with a handful of other Donald cartoons from that show) on the fourth installment of the "Chronological Donald" DVD set.

After seeing the scale model of the new Toontown, I really think more than ever that the kiddie coaster should be themed to Donald and the nephews to compensate for the lack of accessibility to Donald's boat.

What happens is that Donald's boat will no longer be Donald's actual residence, but more of an RV of sorts (except it's a boat). The duck pond of his will be in his backyard. His real house will be off to the side. It too will inaccessible, except as just a facade, but you will be able to access his garage, where the ride is set. It will look somewhat like how his house does in the game "Mickey's Racing Adventure" (where the other houses incidentally look like those at Disneyland):
