Oriental Land just release their plans for "rapid" expansion at Tokyo Disney through 2020. There are quite a few changes as they released details on the Beauty and the Beast area at Tokyo Disneyland and seem to have abandoned the plan to move Its a Small World. Instead, they are building an indoor theater and a Big Hero 6 small attraction on that land. Grand Prix Raceway, StarJets will still close for those.

The Beauty and the Beast is a 277 million USD dark ride that appears to use the LPS trackless ride system that look stunning on the concept arts. Big Hero 6 appears to be a rethemed Mater's Junkyard Jamboree type ride with a Space shop and counters selling multiple Pop-Corn flavors.

Over at Tokyo Disney Sea, Soarin' is finally coming to the Mediterranean Harbor.

EDIT: MODS, please delete this... while I was typing this, someone updated the existing threated.

It appears they are replacing the new Its a Small World with Big Hero 6 and the new theater. Unless they remove Small World and don't replace it, I am not sure where the Alice in Wonderland area would go.

They are talking about plans to plus all 7 lands in the park... What does that mean for the rest of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland?

Looks great, but did OLC postpone or cancel the Frozen Land for TDS and the relocation of IASW?

The Big Hero 6 ride doesn't look impressive, but I'm sure it will be a decent ride.

Looking at Google Maps and the backstage area the new Soarin' will go in, they only have space for two theaters by relocating various facilities elsewhere. A third theater would take the place of the docks for the floats used in Fantasmic and the new daytime show and this will not happen as they have no space to relocate that.

I'm curious as to what happened to the plans for Dumbo. After all these years, Tokyo's version is STILL the only one that has only ten elephants! Have they fallen by the wayside? Or could they be part of the as-yet-unknown plans for the future?

Love the Beauty and the Beast area. (Could we demo Enchanted Tales With Belle and get the ride instead?)
The other attractions look ok...nothing amazing.
Still wonder if they'll add anything from Alice in Wonderland or Frozen like originally planned.

While it would be great to add a dark ride to the area, I doubt there would be a lot of room for it. In the Florida park, I mean.
There are plenty of options to expand in Magic kingdom. For one, if they rerouted infrastructure, I could see them fitting a version of this in place of Enchated Tales/behind it and Be Our Guest.
Otherwise, they could always demo those hideous tents and place it back there...

There's also the Speedway which could be demoed, and the plot of land behind it.

The problem with the infrastructure is that the entrance to the Utilidors, the main entrance to the park for the employees, is literally right behind Fantasyland. There's really no possible way they can do anything back there because a lot of very important things happen back there. There's really no possible way to do anything back there without creating a lot of complications the likes of which are probably better off avoided.

As for the Speedway, yeah, that has plenty of land that can be used, but a Beauty and the Beast ride really makes no sense back there, if it's so isolated from the rest of the appropriate area.
