Update from the MK

I just got a call from a friend who spent the day in the MK.. heres some of the things he noticed... I can't confirm any of this- this is just what he told me.. But, they all seem like basic things

100 Acres Woods - The 20k area is taking the shape of the 100 Acres Woods from Winnie The Pooh...
Its A Small World - Its being rebuilt with gold and silver, and looks a lot like the theme from Disneyland
Doombuggies - Pads were replaced on them (maybe all new doombuggies? he wasn't sure) When this happened, he didn't say.. But, by the way he said it, something makes me think it happened recently (I don't know anything more about this.. anyone know anything?)
Turnstiles - He saw the turnstiles, so this is confirmation that they're coming (though everyone already knows they are)...

There was probably more he said, just this is all I remembered.. Anyone have info on any of these?

(On a side note, the new Illuminations ending, according to him, is amazing...)

Well, we've only been talking about additional turnstyles for two weeks now because of teh comming changes at the beginning of next year.

Not sure if it's going to be the 100 acre woods.... -but- they appear to be making that area somewhat wood-land-y... to be honest I didn't particularly enjoy what they've done so far, it had me questioning why frontierland was popping up in the middle of fantasyland... ohwell

One thing I can confirm... Is that the Illuminations finale is infact "Amazing!" :D

The guy I was talking to (and, I can't confirm how true this is.. ) said it was obvious it was going to be the 100 Acres... He has pictures, but he won't be back until January.. So, I'm sure someone will be able to get pictures before then...

So, when someone gets pictures, we can decide for ourselves :)

Don't worry.. Disney found a way to theme it.. they're selling Hunny Buns and Carrot Cake (of course using carrots from Rabbits garden)...

See, if they were going to do something like this, they could have left 20k, stocked it with fish and had a fishing pond attraction with a counter service seafood resteraunt.

They really need me in a decision making level position at WDW..... :lookaroun

I was there a few days ago... When I saw it, I didn't exactly think "Oh! Look, the 100 acre woods!" But I'll admit, this idea doesn't sound out of the question/sound too bad on paper... or, errmm.. computer?

ANYHOO- I will be back in the world from the 29th - the 2nd.. and i'll take a second look and snag some pics. :cool:

They're expanding the number of turnstiles because the upcoming "Magic Your Way" tickets require a finger scan for ALL tickets. As you can imagine, since most people have not used the AP and are therefore not familiar with the finger scan, it could cause HUGE bottlenecks. Hence the new turnstiles.

And the Hundred Acre Wood in place of 20k?! We waited ten years for THIS?

im going to disney next week with my daughter and my husband i wrote down all that i saw to confirm...i have a ditigal camera and i will post pics as soon as we get back in to our room....if you have any requests please email them to me at toontownfan2004@yahoo.com i will be checking emails while im there too..let me know
