Well, I'm back in Michigan now after spending a few days in Disney World with my parents and girlfriend. It feels so good to be on summer vacation again. I spent two days at the parks and got pictures of the major things, Everest, some new stuff at the poly, SF facade, etc.., Well here are the pictures.

Walls are down at the Studio Catering Co. but it wasn't open on Friday.

Here is the last set I got, we got lunch at the Poly before we left to head home, and I noticed that a lot of things had been changed in the Great Ceremonial Hall.
This entire corner has been redone, Wyland Galleries has been relocated, and the DCL thing on the corner has also been moved for a new shop.

this is the display where the hula people used to be, now there is just the pictures from Wyland galleries, I really liked those hula people too.

And from what I remember the signs were darker before, and now that the new bathrooms have been put in(yes, new bathrooms) they look look brighter..?

I didn't get a picture of the bathrooms, but this is looking out from Captain Cooks(I think thats the name) and the store that used to be on the left side, has been replaced by the bathrooms.

Alright, well thats about all I got, my family loved Soarin', and oh yea! I almost forgot, unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me at the time for this one, but when we were getting breakfast at Boma before heading to the parks, I thought I saw someone familiar. Well my dad went and asked her if she was who I thought she was, and sure enough Samantha Brown from Great Hotels came over to my table and talked to me and my family! She was there for the press event and had a couple days for vacation with her mom. It was so cool, and she is really nice!

ahhhhh, im so jealous that you met samantha brown. it seems like she didnt mind people asking who she was or saying hello as fans. i like that about some celebs. well, congrats on meeting her, i wish i could.

thanks for the pics. i would have gotten a picture with her, just to prove it to my friends (not saying i dont believe you)

Nice update! if you ever wanted to post the pics IN the post, (though it limits you to 10 per reply, you can use the site I use... http://www.imageshack.us/ It lets you upload as many pics as you want, up to like 1.6 meg per pic I think. And, you don't have to sign in, or do anything like that. You can register with them and it locks your IP in and then you can keep track of every pic you have updated without logging in. That's just what we do, yeah, it takes a little bit more to load the page, but if helps to keep it from clicking back a million time and such. Just an idea, not being rude, just some insite for the future! Thanks!

Thanks! I'll have to try that out sometime, I've been wondering how to get the pictures in the post.

I'm kicking myself for not getting a picture, cause I know that probobly won't happen anytime soon, but it was still a really cool experience. :wave:

Great update - thanks for the photos! Are they actually painting the SF facade while it's up? I would have thought they'd paint it backstage and put up the sections like a billboard.

Great pics. I love to see the gradual building of Everest.

I KNOW they'll have the AT-AT finished by SWW. I mean people are coming from everywhere for the event and a "hafaz" AT-AT is unacceptable for the biggest Star Wars event on the continent. Isn't it in the area where most of the stuff takes place?

Great Update!

The SF mural/background looks neat.....I wonder if anyone has walked into it while not paying close attention? I have not been to that part of the park yet.
