Even then I question the value statement now. I considered WDW my first choice for vacations for many, many years. Even bought into DVC to ensure competitive pricing for deluxe resort stays. While that is still a value compared to the rack rate, everything else is sky rocketing up so much, I can't help but question the decision to go every year. The deals are plentiful for non-DVC owners. But reduced discounts on tickets (or APs), dining, etc. really drives our costs up. Obviously Disney is working to create a model where "you may have saved on the room Mr. DVC owner, but we'll make it up else where." That way everyone is paying the same price across the board.It's a pretty scary prospect, isn't it?
