I thought festival of the lion king was on hold until they rebuilt it somewhere?

I am so jealous that (1) you got tickets for Feel the Force [sold out when we tried] and (2) you get to ride SDMT. It opens 2 days after we leave. Hoping for a soft opening when we are there over Memorial Day. Don't know if you've ever eaten at Flame Tree, but the portions are BIG, and I mean BIG. The ribs are a huge slab and the 1/2 chicken is one big bird. We try not to do lunch at Flame Tree and dinner at Raglan Road the same day. I must leave room for the bread pudding.

That's why I have question marks after it in my itinerary. Supposed to re-open in June but don't know when. You can probably assume the regular show will be happening on June 7, the same day as Haraembe Nights starts but I won't be there then. Hoping it re-opens June 1.

Actually, I read recently on Touring Plans that Lion King was scheduled to reopen on July 1. Maybe that has changed, but that's the last I heard, and that was about a week ago.

I was online at 11pm when the info about Feel the Force was released. Couldn't purchase the ticket fast enough.

As for 7DMT, I somehow got through the overload and got my FP+ for 5/31. I actually cancelled my FP+ on 6/3 when I knew I was extending my trip by one day (You're welcome to whoever got it) in favor of a day at AK. Then just as easily got another one for 6/4.

Love Flame Tree BBQ. Have never done an ADR in AK. Flame Tree is all I need.

Well, my traveling companion was indecisive long enough for the tickets to sell out for our weekend. Agree, Flame Tree or the noodles at Yak & Yeti are all we need in DAK.
