Last week Friday while watching the Travel Channel, I saw a Disney World Commercial, not only promoting "Show your Disney Side" but the "up to 35% off room rate" deal. If you stop the following commercial at the :16 mark, you will see more dates listed for the deal.

* or could this be for free dining???

Wow - dates listed are 1/2-2/12, 2/23-3/6, 4/27-5/29, 8/8-11/21 and 11/29-12/11/14.

I know! When I saw it, I was freaking out. I proceeded to watch my show and forgot about posting this until today. The January-March dates match up with free dining.... {Fingers crossed}

But whats the rack price for that time of year? The commercial references 6 nights/7 days at All Stars for $75/person/day. And those dates match up pretty closely with the non Summer/Peak/Holiday dates. My math gets tickets+room for 2 adults and 2 kids pretty close to that $75, using rack rates and posted ticket prices. 2 adults, 2 kids staying at All Stars during January Sun-Fri works out in my math to $78.38 per person ($330x2 + $309x2 + $96x5 + $123 = $1,881) My ticket prices include tax, so yeah, nails that "As low as $75 per person per night" right on the nose. So that may not be that much of a deal.

You may be correct.....BUT you only quoted prices for January. The weekday price per night at the All Stars Jan. 2-8 is $96 per night. If you look up the week day price in...lets say Feb. 23-March 1, it jumps to $123. Same goes for April 27-May 29th. So i see that this commercial is saying....I can get the same room rate on select dates in 2014.

Not at all. It says "As low as $75 per person, per day, family of 4." So you can stay that cheap for certain periods of the year. Other times it will cost you more. Just like how car advertisements say "Buy the new Ford F150 starting at $22,750." That $22,750 gets you a truck chassis and 4 wheels. You want AC? Now its $23,500. Heat? Its $24,000. CD/Satellite Radio? Now pony up $25,000. You can make a trip and stay on property for as low as $75. But only within their restrictions. Start looking for other dates, different resorts, etc it's going to cost you more. I think of this commercial more as a "Hey, WDW doesn't have to be mad expensive, just a bit expensive."

I see the "as Low as" now. I stopped the video before it popped up. You are correct.

Has anyone tried to call in yet for the later dates?

I check in on 11/11/14 and check out on the 11/23/14. Would the last three days be a deal breaker in getting the discount?

As I mentioned, it doesn't look like this commercial is actually relating to a discount, but rather a "Hey, you can come to WDW for less than you thought" deal. Those dates mentioned include the slower periods of the year, so the prices are lower to begin with. The $75 is only for the value season, I'd think it comes out closer to $85 or $90 during the other seasons. During the time you are asking about, the room rate season shifts on the 21st. So those last few nights will be more expensive by nature.
However, even if I am wrong about there actually being a discount, any booking is currently subject to daily changes in room rates, it's no longer the rate from when you check in. The only time your check in date matters is for a promotion such as free dining. In that case they will usually allow you to get the promotion the entire length of your stay, as long as you check in during a valid date.
