UP nominated for Best Picture

Congrats to the Pixar gang for making only the second nominated Best Picture cartoon. I hope that this film wins, but it's a category that is really tough for a toon to take. Good luck guys.

Whoops...totally missed the fact that it's up for Best Animated Picture as well. As well as Princess and the Frog, The Secret of Kells, Coraline and The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I also hope that Aardmans Wallace and Gromits "A Matter of Loaf or Death" wins for Best Animated Short.

Just the fact that it was nominated for best picture is quite an accomplishment. Up was also nominated for best original screenplay, best score, best sound editing, and best animated picture.

On a side note, Princess and the Frog received a nomination for best animated picture and two nominations for best song: "Almost There" and "Down in New Orleans".

REALLY hope they win, but I have my doubts. So hard for a film like this.
