UOR's New Ad Campaign

Can anyone tell is those are actual shots of the ride vehicles moving through FJ or is that some camera trickery? I don't recall having seen any "official" footage of the ride vehicles in motion like that.

Major step up in ad quality and that FJ moment is real on ride footage taken just after the first carousel and you cross the bridge. The camera itself was mounted just next to where the dragon says boo.

If anything I think this commercial is more like something Disney would have done a few years ago. I don't see any digs and, with all of their existing and coming headlines, I think Universal and much of their audience now know that the Universal Orlando Resort is very much it's own entity. Except in some very targeted marketing, I really doubt we'll see much more of the Universal-Disney comparisons coming from Universal's marketing department.

I don't get that feel at all, that it's bashing Disney. I do know if I was in PR at Universal and the next gen ends up a mess I would go after it hard, so easy of a target if things go wrong. Backed up with new rides etc. the PR guys could have a field day.

I don't take it as "bashing" like I said, I personally see a HINT of it if you really wanted to twist the wording the way I described. And yes, I think it would be wise for UNI to do some blatant "war" campaigns but they need to remain focused on their amazing rides & additions at the moment. That alone will bring people to UNI over WDW.

I think this commercial is brilliant... and they are saying "vacation...like you mean it" whimsical not 'vacation LIKE YOU MEAN IT"

it is all in the tone. And that tone, makes me want to book a UOR vacation as a local! lol

I think the only "dig" at Disney is that the parks are more progressive. Disney's commercials are pitiful-been to Walt Disney world lately? Yeah- and not much has changed! I think where I live is a target market for Disney because I swear they play the commercials nonstop on the local channels.
