Here is some fairly new and interesting information if I can remeber correctly King Kong was built in one of the biggest sound stages ever constructed therefore consider this ride one of the largest darkrides ever to be built. From the concept animation video it appears as if this ride will have a 4 across seating arrangement as this would most likely provide for a better view of the show elements, expect to see lot's of in your face special effects some that are familiar and some that are brand new this ride will probably be the one darkride that many parks will rival for many years to come. A friend of mine who had worked at Disneyland for many years and now works as a computer programmer for Universal entertainment in L.A. said expect this ride to be something like a mix between Pirates of the Caribbean
and the Indiana Jones Adventure but better!

I think Back to the Future was another innovative attraction when it opened it's still impressive to this day, I've even heard of Imagineers proclaiming Back to the Future is better than Star Tours. I am definitely a big fan of Disney attractions but I couldn't help but turn my head when they announced the new Revenge of the Mummy!

You know regardless of some issues that makes Universal not Disney and land limitations, ownership issues , and a few other details... overall Universal has been going Gangbusters with some of their latest and greatest.

Twister, Shrek, Spider-man, MiB, Terminator 2:3D, Cat in the Hat, and even Poseidon's Fury all have some great stuff. With the Mummy sounding even more amazing than Spider-man, I truly believe a new era is fast approaching. If Universal can maintain it's current inventive streak and velocity, then Disney may truly have a run for it's money coming literally. There is a fine line when attracting customers between new and awesome and great theming. Universal keeps getting a little closer to both with each new addition. Space and Expedition Everest will help out, but that's almost normal expectations for new attractions at Disney (forgetting Dino-rama, DCA, and Disney Studios Paris  ), but no one really had as high expectations for Universal, which makes all the new breeds of their attractions all that much more exciting and interesting.

The Theme Park wars are truly beginning in the early 21st century. Keep your hands and arms inside the vehicle and enjoy the ride.
