Universal Studios Japan opens E.T. Adventure: The Legend

Skim through the park photos from USJ at this website and you’ll come across something interesting. While the park has closed the E.T. Adventure ride, it looks like they took several of the figures and some scenery to create E.T. Adventure: The Legend, a kind of museum style display about the old ride. We still don’t know exactly what will be replacing E.T. however, anyone know more? I also liked the picture in the bottom row on this page, where it looks like someone decapitated 50 different Snoopy dogs and put their heads on a food cart display.

I'm so confused, so they closed their ET a long time ago, and now they've opened up a little exhibit with some of the animations?

Odd. Though It's pretty clear that the ride is way too outdated...for Japan.

At least USF still has ET The Adventure.

There are absolutely no words to describe just how much I would love this. I *love* E.T. and I would love to be able to walk through the sets of the attraction and take pictures and get close to the little baby E.T. figurines. Someone please buy me a ticket to Japan!
