Is Universal like Disney where you can pay it out as you go up until month before your trip. The last 2 times family has gone we just paid it all in full at once. I'm wanting to book a trip in May so curious if can do it now or wait till I have the full amount saved up. Need a Universal trip since we will have done Disney 3 times in the last 18 months when our trip next month hits.

If you do a package, like at Disney, it can include tickets, room, character breakfast, and even the dining plan. You make a deposit (mine was $200) and it doesn't need to be paid off until 45 days before the trip. You can make payments on it up until the 45 day mark, I've made payments as low as $50 just to be able to erase it with points on my cc.
