Universal Orlando weekend crowd

I live near London in the Uk and my family is going on a Disney vacation this September staying in The Swan Hotel ,staying 10 nights from September 16th to September 26th
We've bought both Disney and Universal tickets ,my question is what will crowds be like at universal studios on weekends that time of year.
I'm of the opinion that generally with universal ,crowds on weekdays are pretty light but weekends get mega busy ; so any input into whether I'm right or wrong on that will be highly appreciated and help my vacation

If you can avoid a weekend at any theme park in America during a weekend, it's always better! I don't know if you are planning a resort day, but Saturday would be a perfect day for one

September's pretty quiet at Universal, and crowds are nowhere near Disney levels, so you should be fine.

Anytime after Labor Day weekend is fine- the kids are back in school and the parents are broke from buying all their clothes, supplies, etc You should be fine. It's a nice time to go.
