There are no attractions currently under refurbishment but Fear Factor Live is not running in October because of Halloween Horror Nights 16 and Back to the Future The Ride will be closing soon (any day now really).

Is Jaws open all the time?
I read somewhere that its only open at peak times. We are going in May 2007 and hoping it will be open.

I wish all of IOA would go down for a refurbishment to bring the park back to it's former self and keep the emphasis on themeing and quality instead of an overload on cheap sideshow activities and poor upkeep.

And a new major attraction would be nice as well. You know something the park hasn't recieved SINCE IT OPENED!

Dude, Seuss Landing just had a huge refurbishment with new paint and everything (looks just as good, if not better, as it did on opening day). POE is fine, JP is fine, TLC is fine, TL is fine....the only thing that could use a bit of paint is MSHI.

That's good to hear about Suess. JP, Toon Lagoon, and Marvel were in bad shape the last time I was there. Faded and chipped paint were everywhere and it felt like half of the snack shops were closed by mid afternoon. The park just had a bad vibe to it and I didn't go this year for the first time since 99.

Jaws was opening at around 11 am about a week ago. I can only surmise about the late opening:

1.) It's open during HHN too
2.) Part of the queue is a haunted house

There were several spots in Jurassic Park that needed help when I was there last. There are several spots where the foliage needs some extra planting because backstage is clearly visible between the leaves which is bad show. Only one torch was working on the Jurassic Park sign, and some of the effects were down on the river adventure. In addition, the discovery center needs a major overhaul. Other than that I didn't notice much that was bad as far as theming and still am very impressed with the theming especially in Port of Entry and The Lost Continent.

I bet it's the same reasons Jungle Cruise opens late. Staffing, prep work, and expenditures on the attraction.
