Universal crowds staying high post New Years

We have been in the parks the past few days and Touring Plans predicted 5 out of 10. In actuality it's been 8 out of ten. I knew the parks where more crowded then expected just by the wait times being higher the expected but it didn't really effect or visit.

We were able to do most of the things we wanted even with the higher crowds. Thanks to many tips we picked up here and without express pass. We have one more day and 3 must do-es left. So far we have managed 45 minutes as our longest wait. Just have Spider Man, Jurassic River and Transformers left. Everything else with a height limit of 42 or less we have been on.

Orlando Informer has the crowds as moderate until Wednesday then dropping to slow. I only do the slow days so that sounds pretty accurate to me. Many have their vacays timed to the "slow" days but those are going away. Later in the month is slower, sorry you only have a few days left but a lot of others planned the same time as you did.

All I can suggest is get in the park early or stay late, mid day it will be a wait.

We have been doing good, the crowds aren't getting us down. We are having fun and the kids are loving the parks.

Like I said before not sure if the crowd calendars are worth much at Universal this year? They give you a general idea but I think attendance is going to be way up again. Universal needs to hurry up and build some more attractions to spread the crowd out. Kong isn't far away now so I would be thinking another major attraction should be starting to be built. Fallon and FF aren't that big of a construction deal or at least I don't think they are. Still plenty of room for new stuff at Universal.
Nintendoland and Secret Life of Pets will be starting soon. Volcano Bay will be opening in 2017 also so maybe that will spread the crowd.

I like that fact that Volcano Bay is built and will go to it once it's built but I doubt that would have an effect on crowds in the parks. Not an either or situation.

Sapphire Falls opening in 2017? That will for sure add to the crowd year round. All rooms added will add to the crowds since whoever is stay on Universal property is there to go to the theme parks. Maybe not every day but they will hit both parks some time during their stay. If they hit their 10,000 room goal then that's probably 20,000 people a day on average. School holiday and it could be more like 25-30 K.

I'm interested in what Nintendoland will look like? Could be cool, could be not so cool. They're not lacking for source material at all but translating a video game into an attraction or ride might not be that easy? I've played a lot of Mario Kart and if Universal ends up with a Mario Kart ride I hope it's something very related to MK not just a roller coaster with some shells painted on it. If it was a very cool coaster then I probably wouldn't care. It's like the Hulk, I like the coaster and it means nothing to me that it's themed after the Hulk. It could be Woody Wood ****** flying around and it wouldn't change my mind on that coaster.

Thanks for the info I figured something should be gearing up soon if Universal stays on pace.
Sapphire Falls opens July 2016. Right after Hulk and Kong come online.

And I think you will be blown away with the Mario Kart attraction. I am hearing some interesting rumors. The center piece of the land is going to be Peach's Castle. And I've heard at least 3 and possibly 5 attractions in the land.

Nintendoland and Star Wars Land opening within a year of each other will make many geeks happy.

.

Where is it going to be? The new Sandlot location or at Universal or IofA
