So I am checking out some of the bars and restaurants that Universal has, I already knew about the great ones at Citywalk, but man some of the ones at the hotels are great looking. We are going to be stay at the RP and some of the places there look amazing. Any places I must do? Also you think they own Disney when it come to bars?

Well I guess bars are better at Universal because Disney doesn't really pertain to drinking. You might want to check out Margaritaville at Citywalk and some other places there!

City walk- Love the Latin Quarter- food is good but the theming is beautiful. I also love Bob Marley's- unique and tasty- although the last time we were there, the waitress seemed really "put out" to have to wait on us :/ and since I hold a grudge, we haven't been in over a year. Margaritaville is played.

IOA- around back of Confisco's is a cozy little bar- Backwater Bar. There is an outside deck and an inside bar. The bartenders are fabulous. Hog's Head Bar is a must just because, well, it's freaking Harry Potter and you actually feel like you're there!

US- I'm a fan of Finnigan's especially when it's crowded- the more the merrier! A pint and an order of Scotch eggs-yummy!

Hard Rock Cafe- honestly we were over it and hadn't been in years- overpriced- ho hum food. But hubby and I went just for drinks one afternoon and had a BLAST! Our bartender was a riot and kept inventing drinks for us to "try".

Hard Rock Hotel- I can't say enough about this place- best hotel EVER! However the Beach Club girls pour VERY heavy handed so be careful! Velvet Bar is a perfect place to start off the evening- love the extensive "girly" martini list, relaxing atmosphere, beautiful deck.

We are staying at RP soon and I can't wait to try Tchoup Tchoup- the menu looks amazing and you really can't go wrong with Emeril!

Bars:

IOA:

Backwater Bar: It's in the Port of Entry adjacent to Confisco's. It is a small full service bar with some nice themeing.

Hog's Head Pub: In the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. A good selection of British beers.

USF:

Finnegan's: Great food and atmosphere. Feels like a real downtown establishment.

Restaurants:

IOA:

Mythos has some of the best themeing of any theme park restaurant ever. And also very good reasonably priced food.

Confisco's is also very good and reasonably priced with themeing elements from all the lands around IOA.

USF:

Fennigan's also while being my favorite drinking establishment in all of UOR also has some darned fine food.

Lombard's is also a nice well themed seafood table service.

Universal Orlando Resort Signature Dining (All very nice):

Emeril's Orlando in CityWalk

Emeril's Tchoup Chop in the Royal Pacific

The Palm in the Hard Rock Hotel

BiCE in the Portofino Bay Resort.

Special Mention goes to The Thirsty Fish at the Portofino Bay Resort. It is a great place to have a Cheese Board and a bottle of wine. It has inside and outside tables that overlook the harbor. One of the most relaxing places in the entire resort to chill. In the pic below, BiCE is upstairs and the Thirsty Fish Bar is downstairs:

Finnegans has the best local bartending crew in Orlando. When a bar in the middle of a theme park has a huge following of "locals," you know they're doing something right.

I'm a fan of Backwater Bar as well, friendly staff, nice prices during happy hour.

In the hotels, big fan of Velvet Bar.

Despite how crowded it can get in there, I highly recommend Finnegans. The bar staff is fantastic.
