Universal Annual Pass

Does anyone know what kind of discount an annual passholder gets on merchandise and hotels? I am debating whether to buy the pass or go work for them on a seasonal basis since I am moving down in Jan. So my next question is what are the discounts for employees? My reason I ask is because of love trying out new hotels and if there is a chance for a discount why not take it. Thanks for any replys.

I have one and think it is well worth the money. In Universal I think you get 20% off and at "Third Party Vendors" - stores that are not part of Universal but are rented out - you get 15%. You also save money on Hotel rooms (saved 30% on my room the last trip), which is the main reason I purchased the pass. I go down two to three times a year and save lots of money with my Annual Pass.

I agree with the statements before me. I have had an Universal AP for several years now and I always get my money out of it.

Think about it. You pay $175 up front for the first year, then it's only $100 each year after that. If you go to the parks three times and hit both parks each visit... you've paid for it the first year.

As for the discounts, they're great! Probably up there with the SeaWorld Platnum pass discounts. I know right now during the slow season, Uni throws in a bunch of extra discounts during Jan and Feb.

Hotel rates are running around $119 for the Royal Pacific to $179ish for the Portifino Bay Resort. It's a tad bit higher on the weekends.

You also don't have to play to park! This is the best of all!
