When I was a kid, for a long time I thought all of epcot was in "the ball", I didn't find out the truth until I discovered @marni1971 's videos on epcot. I blame advertising for this one.

Listen to the Land opened with the symphony of the seeds section, where the first rainforest is now: slightly similar to the Rivers of Light boat ride you sailed past large flowers and seeds with changing colours to the Listen to the Land song.

That's what they're trying to do with the Millennium Falcon attraction. By rendering it in real time, you are literally flying the millennium falcon (in a simulated sense). What you do the ride does.
