Under 3 Park Hopper question

My DS will turn 3 the day after we arrive home from our next WDW trip (April 2013). Since he will still be 2 when we're there, I'm not going to get him a park hopper, but I'm worried that we'll be questioned every time we enter the park. DS is tall and quite verbal for his age, and really seems much older than 2.

I was thinking I should bring a copy of his birth certificate with us. Would that be best? Any advice would be appreciated -- thanks!

I'm in the same situation -- my "little" guy turns 3 about 3 weeks after our Jan trip. He is as tall as his 4-year-old sister and weighs about the same as her too. Lately, I have been asked a number of times if they are twins. :D

I don't think you have to bring a birth certificate. But it might make you feel better to do so. I have not decided as yet whether to take my son's birth certificate or not.

I don't think Disney will question you on his age, but you might need his birth certificate to verify age for other travel (airlines?).

Do not worry about it. Disney is very lax about the under 3 policy. At most, you will be asked if your child is under three and that is as far as it will go. I have never been asked or seen a CM ask for any kind of proof. Most of the time they do not even ask. If they see a toddler in a stroller and no ticket, they just let them pass. At most I would just keep a regular copy of a birth certificate with you even if it is just to placate your own fears.

I'm in the same boat. Our trip is 11/9-11/16 and my youngest will turn three 11/19. He's very tell for his age. I really don't want to have to bring his birth certificate with us.

One year I bought our tickets at the Kissimmee Wal-Mart when we arrived. My son was 3 and a month or so. The guy selling me the tickets told me don't buy one for him, they'll never ask. I couldn't bring myself to not buy him a ticket but it was true, I have never seen anyone question the age of a young child or ask for a Birth Certificate. I would say you are close enough you don't need to buy a ticket.

I say don't stress about it. Disney is super lax about the 3 and under.

I was in the same situation where my DD was 3 half way through our trip. She had a trip to BBB in the morning but we came out and went back into MK later that day. I was very nervous especially as BBB has a minumum age limit of 3 and obviously she was there with her birthday sash and button but we still had no problems what so ever and she was waved through same as every other time we entered a park on that trip.

We took our daughter a month prior to her 3rd bday last year and had park hoppers. She's also fairly tall for her age and is always getting comments about how she looks older. We never had anyone so much as comment about it, so I wouldn't sweat it.

along the same lines, we are bringing my niece who will be 3 after our trip and are staying at beach club. do they question them about the whole having a room key to use the pool for her too?
