Typhoon Lagoon or Pool day in November

Disney is less than 30 days away for us. I saw that Typhoon Lagoon will be open. We are a family of 4 with kids 5 and 8 and are staying Saturday to Saturday at Wilderness Lodge. I was planning a day at pool, but now thinking maybe should try Typhoon Lagoon mainly for Shark Reef. How are waterparks in November? I get either water parks and more or park hoppers with my package. Currently I am not planning on park hopping with my plans. I appreciate any feedback. This is our first trip to DW.

I would choose park hoppers over the water parks, as the weather in November can be a mix of warm and cold. Last year we were there in mid-November and it was cloudy and cold the entire week, jeans and sweatshirts during the day (not just at night.) We also stayed at WL and although the pools are heated, not many folks were swimming. I imagine only die-hard folks would have attempted the water parks! (The water at Shark Reef is extremely cold...while a delight in summer, not so much at other times.) If your weather is warm, the pool is a fun place to hang out. The park hopping feature is nice as it allows you to be flexible ~ for example, if Animal Kingdom closes at 5 pm, you could hop over to Epcot for the evening.

We went last November and never used the pool. The first two days were decent but day 3 poured all day and the temps dropped to the 50s. Our last full day was back up into the 70s but not enough for anyone to want to use the pool.

My children are a bit younger than yours but they would much rather spend time at one of the elaborate resort hotel pools than at Typhoon Lagoon. The last time that we took them to TL they were ready to leave within an hour, whereas they could spend all afternoon in the hotel pool. Out of all the Disney resorts we've taken them to so far, they like the Wilderness Lodge pool the most. They have organized activities in the afternoon and the kids just love it, especially the ones in the 5-10 age range.
We always get park hopper. It's so nice to have the option to change your plans at the last minute or to switch parks mid-day if the family decides they'd rather be elsewhere. It just gives you so much more freedom and flexibility. i definitely recommend that option.

Last year I used the pool loads and used blizzard beach a couple of times (typhoon lagoon was closed) I was there from 7th - 24th and every time I used the pool or water park it was hot!
