My two boys and I will be at WDW at the end of Sept. to early Oct. :sohappy: and they very much want to go to one water park weather permitting. We have 7 days to work with so there is room to fit one in.

Any recommendations as to which one to go to? Reasons?

thanks

Welcome to the Boards. Depends on the ages of your boys. If they are pre-teen/teen, then I would say BB because they currently have more thrill attractions. If they are a bit younger then it doesn't really make a difference.

Personally, I like TL better. The theming is nice and Castaway Creek is very relaxing. It seems to me that there is more shade as well....

Blizzard Beach may have more thrill slides, but Typhoon has the big waves! Depending on how well they can swim, the big waves might be a bigger draw than the slides.

We went to BB once back in 1996 and the three trips to WDW since, we only went to TL. TL has Shark Reef, awesome body slides and a cool wave pool.

Typhoon Lagoon is the best water park on the planet! It is absolutely beautiful with all the lush greenery, the excellent themeing and all of the elaborate props found throughout. Additionally, it has some excellent rides. Far superior to any non-Disney water park hands down. And the selection of rides really spans all tastes. There's something for everyone.

Blizzard Beach has got the most thrilling rides. Although Typhoon Lagoon is my absolute favorite, if my goal were simply to do nothing but go on fast water slides all day nonstop (as is often the case with teenage boys), then I would probably be more impressed with Blizzard Beach. Although the themeing with Blizzard Beach was very creative, I think the one thing they forgot to consider was the fact that although it may LOOK like snow and ice, it is in reality hot concrete that is blinding white. And for some reason, shade was not factored in when building Blizzard Beach. So it is someone uncomfortable. They seemed to have more of a shortage of lounge chairs too when I was there.

So for simply pure thrills and if you don't plan to do any relaxing or enjoying the the beauty: Blizzard Beach

For the overall experience AND excellent thrills: Typhoon Lagoon

We finally tried BB this past spring break. It was okay...not my kind of water park though. You get burnt easier, cuz there is so much "snow" and I prefer the Waterpool at TL much better. I would go to TL.
