Uhm...AK is part of WDW. Do you mean the MK as well as AK?

Call and see what character meals are open when you are there, be prepared to take any time, any meal. I haven't heard of a Princess picnic, but then I'm not up on the Princess stuff since my kids are 20 & 14.

At the MK (I assume you are going there) go for as many as you can (with little ones it's tough) Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Ariel's Grotto, Country Bear Jamboree, Dumbo, Small World and Pooh's Playful Spot and Cinderella's Carousel. You might get in Mickey's Philharmagic...kids love 3D stuff.
Donald's Boat, Mickey & Minnie houses, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, the TTA and the RailRoad (great way to get a bit of a rest, just ride around the entire park). The parades are fun, if you have the time.

At AK try to go to the Tree of Life with It's Tough to Be A Bug (again 3D), Festival of the Lion King, The Boneyard, Finding Nemo: the musical, Rafiki's Planet watch (a nice train ride thru the woods to get here).
Don't forget to use fastpass when available, and EMH if you are eligible.
Character meet & greets are available throughout the day so try to stop for some photos.

Remember, you kids will set the pace so go with the flow. Take a rest when you need to, stay hydrated and keep snacks handy for the kids because, as we all know, they are not very patient beings.

Since all of this is new to you and you have a very short time to prepare, my suggestion would be to buy this book asap: http://www.amazon.com/PassPorter-Walt-Disney-World-2007/dp/1587710331/ref=pd_sim_b_2

The Unofficial Guide to WDW is also a great guide book, but might overwhelm you at this late stage in the game.

The Passporter gives great descriptions of all the attractions in the parks, as well as height requirements and suggested ages. It also contains really nice, easy to read maps of the parks. It will be worth your while to familiarize yourself with the layouts of the parks and the attractions before you go. It is impossible to see/do everything in a park in one day, especially with two small kids. So I would make sure to make a list of your must sees in order to make sure you get to them before you run out of time.

The Passporter also describes each restaurant (including character meals), so it can help you pick where you want to eat. You will probably have a hard time getting a reservation at the more popular restaurants this late, but it is worth a try.

The Princess meal you are describing is probably the one in Norway in Epcot. However, you need admission to Epcot to attend that, and it is not a picnic....it is a regular restaurant.

I have no idea what your budget is or what your reasoning for only going to the parks two days while you are at FW Campgrounds for a week, but I would highly suggest considering visiting the parks for more than two days!

If you do not want to buy the Passporter book, I'd suggest taking a look at this website to familiarize yourself with the attractions and dining options at WDW: http://allears.net/index.html.

These forums are a great place for info....you've come to the right place! But if I may make a suggestion....you might get more responses if your questions are a bit more specific. I would start a new thread for each topic you have a question about. For example, if you are interested in a princess dining experience (there are several options), start a thread in the dining forum asking for suggestions on the princess meals that are available. Then start another thread in the planning section asking what are the must sees for 3 year old at the Magic Kingdom, etc.

Good luck with the planning!

I went with my 6, 3 and 1 year old last week and we had an awesome time. I would really suggest that you get a one day touring plan. My little boy (3) loved the Buzz Lightyear ride and we did that CONSTANTLY. He also loved the Philharmagic and other staples like Peter Pan's Flight and the Pooh ride. He also enjoyed It's a Small World.

It took him a bit to get used to Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride, but he really liked the Jungle Cruise. Take it easy-- get some good food, see some good sights and most of all enjoy your children being children :)

There is a Princess Storybook meal ( breakfast, lunch or dinner) it is located in EPCOT. If you want a princess meal you can try 1900 Park Fare at the GF resort for dinner, or you can see if there are any openings at Cinderella's Royal Table (don't say anything to your little princesses about it till you can book it)

Hope you have a great trip!
