Hi Spidey!

yes, the boat runs to the Yacht and Beach club dock. And as far as Fantasmic dinner shows being rained out, I don't think WDW does anything for you. It's just a chance that you have to take.

That doesn't sound very Disney, I'm sure if I complained they would work something out, but I figured they would do something anyway since you made the effort to set up a Dinner deal and use your Credit Card to hold it.

I say I would complain because I have tried on two different trips to catch this show, both times they have filled up, so this time I called and set up a Fantasmic Meal Deal just so I can finally see it, I will be very upset if I can't this time. But hopefully the weather will be great and there will be nothing to worry about.

I hope that you get to see it also. I most likely will not be able to catch it myself until the Meet in Dec. I never seem to have the time to see it while I'm at WDW. I had called WDW and asked this very question about the FDP and was told that they do not do anything special for rain cancellations. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Thanks, cause if we buy a house next year, we may not get back to WDW til 2006.

Hopefully it will work out.

I seem to remember reading something on this in an Official Disney Brochure last year.

Basically the event is a weather permitting one, and even if you do the dinner package it is still weather permitting.

The line is that you're paying for the meal and the entry into the show is a free 'value add.'

That's exactly it. The cost is for the meal. The entry to the show is a free benefit for buying the dinner. If there's no Fantasmic, there's no value to recoup. Now, I'm not saying that yelling and screaming won't change things, but I wouldn't guarantee it.

Also, just as an FYI, the Friendship route is Studios - Swolphin - YC/BC - BW - Epcot. The return trip follows the same path. Epcot - BW - YC/BC - Swolphin - Studios.

Now I'm not saying I would be yelling and screaming at Disney. I'm just saying I would not get the package unless I wanted seats at Fantasmic. Kinda mean of them to handle it like that... if there is no Fantasmic they make sure to get their money anyway. :hammer: I understand what you guys are saying, I really do, I just had not thought about rain until now. But weather.com show 30% Thunderstorms that day, so my odds are pretty good that it won't be doing anything during the show. I say how much I would complain now, but when I get to Disney I get too happy to be upset much... just had a rude Bellhop at WL once, but I had to shrug him off.

Where exactly does it let you off for EPCOT, if you can show on a map that would be awesome, but description is fine. I'm vaguely familiar with that area of the World.

They let you off at International Gateway, which is between England and France.
It is also a super-close walk to there from the YC/BC and BW.

HI Kathy!

I had a great trip! I don't know why it was shut down. There was no one around to ask and it was all blocked off so no one could even get in line for it.

Yep, it's just down the embankment from the security check area.

I looked at the weather forcast and I didn't see any rain. I would keep it. If it's just sprinkling I am sure they won't cancel it. I would make another one just in case though without cancelling that one. (better safe than sorry)
