I am going in October and am staying at the CBR for the first time. I am getting so many mixed reviews I am starting to get worried about my choice. Can anyone tell me from personal experiece if this hotel is good as I am hoping. The horror stories I have readon other site are turning me off, but my travel agent insisted I stay there.

Question two, I read in the Unofficial Guide to WDW that you can now mak PS's online. Is this true or did I read it incorrectly? If so, how can I do it?

204 days and counting!!!!

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!:animwink: :animwink:

I stayed at the CBR a few years ago (1999) and loved it! I've read some bad reviews as well, but the place was very colorful and the beach/ lagoon area was beautiful. Our room was newly renovated (which we requested) so that may have made a difference. I've also read the Unofficial Guide and I don't think it says that you can make PSs on-line (plus I've never seen it at the disney world website.) Hope you enjoy your trip!

just try and stay somewhere near the food court(port royale if im not mistake). CBR is a pretty large resort and could be a pain if you have to walk a long way to the food court. I remember always requesting Martineque. It is normally the first drop off so you dont have to deal with those late nite stands on the bus....have a great time.....3 more days for me!!!!:animwink: .......:king:

That's right. Try to keep close to the main house, not only because the food court, but also for the transportation and many other needs which will only be found in the main house, like bellmans, information, etc...

even though we changed to the AKL .. the CBR is my favorite. I dont think there is any other resort that feels so relaxing ..cept maybe the Poly. the CBR has its own lake, ( Barefoot Bay) and each "village" ( like Jamacia ) has its own pool besides the Main Pool. I dont think you will be disappointed if you stay there. The food is great and if you have a chance you will really enjoy eating at Captian's Tavern. there is bikes, sailboats, water mouse boats, canopy boats and pontoon boats .. we loved the paddle boats :) the beach is so wonderful and you can see space ship earth from some of the resort. the longest bus ride from CBR is to the MK .. it takes hardly any time to get to MGM and Epcot ..and there is a bus stop for each Village and one at Port Royal .. you check in at the "customs house" .. We have stayed at the CBR more then any other resort at WDW :)

Thanks to all for you experienced opinions....I am really looking forward to this trip and a bad hotel would have been a damper. I feel better about it now. Anyone know which buildings you can see illuminations from? That would be cool..

Thanks again:animwink:

you could prolly see the fireworks of Illuminations best from Barbados, aruba or Jamaica .. Jamaica is my favorite .. you get to cross the bridge to go to Old Port Royal. Did I mention how beautiful the lake is at night :)

WE stayed at the CBR a few years ago in Martinique - we requested it because a friend told me it was one of the first bus stops to be picked up on the bus route to the parks. It was great! We loved the resort. Make sure your travel agent requests a recently-renovated room, though.

I love CBR don't let anyone tell you different. I stayed in the Aruba building. There is a Zoo a great pool and a cool food Court. You can boat, bike, hike, and sleep in a hammock on the beach. I loved sitting on the beach and watching the fireworks. It was a good choice to make. If you can, ask when you check in to try to get in a building near the pool. You will love it. Good luck.

Cool this is my 100th. post. Now i'm Earning My Ears. This is ironic because I had to do the same thing in the WDWCP.
