TwinkleToes - Pack: Y or N

While I've got a whopping 240 or so days until we're supposed to be at WDW, I'm starting to look at what outfits and shoes to pack for the kids. While the girls previously had pairs of non-light up TwinkleToes - Grandma recently got the girls the light up variety and they're on the big side - so they should still fit come November.

I know I've seen other children wearing them at WDW, but it wasn't until I was in the car last night and I started thinking I was being tailed by a cop :lookaroun:lol: (i.e. the shoes were lighting up in the dark vehicle) that I started wondering if they'd be disruptive on dark rides and theaters at WDW.

The girls LOVE the shoes, so I want enough time to come up with a special cute shoe back up plan in case too many people think the lights are too disruptive. Any thoughts?

Nah, don't worry about them. Unless they are up walking around during the ride or show should not really even come on. And if they do, to me at least, the lights are not all that bright or annoying. If it's pitch black maybe, but even the dark rides have lights to illuminate the sets. I wouldn't worry about, let your girls enjoy their shoes.

Oh, and being a father of boys I'm jealous that your girls can get 240 days of wear out of a pair of shoes. Seems my boys go through a pair every 60 days.

No you will be okay, my son had these shoes that flashed this bright green light from them when we visited. :ROFLOL: Plus with all the light up toys Disney sells it would blend in with no problem.

My daughter's Twinkle Toes malfunctioned in the Hall of Presidents. One show was blinking uncontrollably even though she wasn't moving. It was so embarassing - we had to take off the shoe and sit on it.

Our girls are so tiny and for whatever reason, shoes seem to last for quite a while for them...well, at least most brands. DD5 has a pair of sneakers from her 4th bday in Aug 2010 that still fit! :D The biggest downside is the nailbiting that they'll both be tall enough this trip to ride the 40" req rides.

Good point! Thanks!

And that right there is my fear...I mean, I'm a shoe lover and always pack lots for the kids as well as myself...I just don't know if I want to be bogged down by 2 extra pairs of shoes in case the shoes go into disco mode :lookaroun:lol: in a dark show or attraction.
