As most of you have probably heard, Disney is currently in the works of creating an extended tv universe centered around the classic Disney theme park attractions that will feature both original characters from the rides, and iconic Disney characters as well, for Disney+.
Basically, it'll be like the the Marvel Cinematic Universe, except with Disney.
This has been an idea that Disney has had since the early 1990s, with the original idea of this series being an animated show that would've been part of the Disney Afternoon.
Whether it's to be animated or live-action, I'm not sure.
The first series in this upcoming universe is none other than....

For those who don't know, the upcoming series is based around the fictional organization of the same name, or S.E.A. for short.
The organization is a unifying element that has been featured through the Disney parks all around the world and being connected to various Disney properties. From attractions like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Jungle Cruise, and Tower of Terror, and restaurants like Tropical Hideaway and The Skipper Canteen, to films like Indiana Jones and even books such as Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
With something like this, S.E.A. definitely has the potential of working as a TV series. But how would it play out? And who would the stars be?
Well, here’s how I believe a S.E.A. animated series could play out.

Before we get to the premise, I think we should talk about this aspect of the show first, the characters.
Of course, we have the titular Society of Explorers and Adventurers as most of the main cast (consisting of Harrison Hightower III, Lord Henry Mystic, Mary Oceaneer, Albert Falls, Jason Chandler, Barnabas T. Bullion, Professor R. Blauerhimmel, Dr. J.L. Baterista, and Charlton J. Taboret)
But the main star of the show wouldn't be any of them, but instead, it would be.....this guy.

Most of you probably don't know who this kid is. This is Andy Stanley, he was the main protagonist of the book series Tales From Adventureland, which focused on his adventures in locations based on attractions found in the land that book series is named after.
He's a friendly yet meek young teenager (14 to be precise) with a fondness for reading, calligraphy, and puzzles.
Andy has been chosen to be the heir/successor of his grandfather and mentor Ned Lostmore, or better known now as Shrunken Ned. Who's Shrunken Ned you may ask?
This guy...

Yes, this is Shrunken Ned. He was quite the explorer in his day and an honored member of S.E.A., but 14 years ago, shortly after Andy was born, he went into the jungles of the Peru to find a present for his newborn grandson....but he went missing and hasn't been seen since.... until recently when he was found as a alive but disembodied head in the middle of a tribe of Jivaro headhunters.
With the predicament he's currently in, Ned isn't really able to do much exploration anymore, so he decided to choose Andy to carry his legacy and hopes to open up the Lostmore Spirit (their family's sense of adventure and bravery) inside of him.
But Ned won't be the only one accompanying Andy on his adventures. This show would be doing the same that Darkwing Duck and Milo's Murphy Law did by taking a character from a different by somewhat related show and making them into a main character, just like with Launchpad McQuack and Dr. Doofenshmirtz.
But Andy's other companions wouldn't be from a tv show, but instead, a movie!

That's right, three characters from the Disney Animated Canon will be some of the main stars of this show!
But who, exactly? Well, these three characters from the same movie. They're also quite underrated, not really being brought up very often.

That's right! Milo Thatch and Kida Nedakh from Atlantis: The Lost Empire will be serving as Andy's companions for this show! And before you ask, yes, this show does take place after the events of the film. The two lovers have decided to leave Atlantis for awhile to see the world, specifically Kida.
Also, I decided to age down Milo a bit. When it comes to Disney characters, a good chunk of the time, their ages are pretty ambiguous, and their actual ages often contradicts how they look and sound.
According to several bios made for the film, Milo is said to be 32 years old, but I decided to age him down by eight years, making him 24.
Milo and Kida not only serve as Andy's traveling companions and best friends, but also older brother and sister figures as well, especially Milo.
But hold on a minute! I said Andy would be having three companions, so where's the third one?
Well, he is here!

Yep, Ooby from Altantis' less than stellar sequel Milo's Return will be serving as Andy's third companion.
I know it seems kinda odd bring these three in as main characters, but I felt like it would be cool to give lesser known Disney characters the spotlight once in a while.
As for other major characters, we’ve got a whole crew of characters from both the attractions and movies/tv shows
Ned Land, the adventure-loving sailor/whaler from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea....
Kronk, the muscle-bounded yet lovable dimwit from the Emperor’s New Groove...
Elsa, the beautiful (and possibly gay) snow Queen from Frozen....
The Northuldrian siblings Honeymaren and Ryder from Frozen 2....
The wise and immortal wizard Merlin from The Sword and the Stone....
The dynamic duo of Lilo and Stitch.....
The quartet of Varian, Yong, Hugo and Princess Nuru from the proposed but sadly cancelled spin-off series of Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure, Varian and the Seven Kingdoms.....
The young globetrotting duo of Ohio Flynn and Rhode Island Fletcher (the early 20th-century explorer versions of Phineas and Ferb)....
The Atlantis Expedition Crew.....
And the one....the only....
INDIANA JONES!!!
I know this cast of characters seems really odd, but thats kind of the point. Also, I know some of you are gonna ask why Kronk and Lilo and Stitch are here even though the former is from 13th-century Peru and the latter are from the 21st-century. In the case of Kronk, I’ll be answering that when we talk about locations, but for Lilo and Stitch, if you don’t know much about the franchise, you’re in for one hell of a surprise.
Lilo and Stitch has seen several spin-off series after the tv show. These included Stitch!, an anime series when the little blue alien befriends a little girl on an island not too far from Japan, Ai and Stitch, another series where he befriends a little girl in China, and even a web manga series known as Tono and Stitch, where Stitch crash lands in feudal-era Japan and befriends a samurai warrior!
Yeah, this franchise is really weird.....
And also before you ask, yes, Rourke and Helga will be major characters in this show. I know this seems odd given their roles from their respective film, but this series takes place an alternate universe. I was inspired by this thread of discussing a possible cinematic universe centered around S.E.A., and one of the films was a remake of Atlantis. One of the ideas for this remake was turning Rourke and Helga into more three-dimensional characters. Instead of being flat greedy mercenaries, the duo were instead very patriotic Americans who were sent by the government to join the Atlantis expedition and confirm if the lost empire was real or not, and see if it’s mythical power was a threat. So Rourke and Helga planned to steal all the Heart of Atlantis not out of greed, but out of fear. These two, especially Rourke, have both lived through the horrors of war, and they both fear of what the Heart could be capable of. But in the end, the two have come to respect the Atlantean and help out in returning the Heart and saving the city, but not without it’s consequences (including Rourke’s left arm and the King’s life.)
If you want to learn more about this cinematic universe, here’s a link to it below.

Other major characters include the president of the Society Vitale Robustelli, the freelance pilot and close friend of Indy Jock Lindsey, the aviator Camellia Falco, the photographer Luana Teixaira, the chef Tandaji, the musician Maestro D'Elfman, the silent and mysterious tribal salesman Trader Sam, and their many animals companions (Ruddiger the raccoon, Albert the monkey, Salty and Duncan the parrots, Reggie the boa constrictor, Indiana the Alaskan Malamute dog, Alberta the falcon, Archimedes the owl, and Ellie the Indian elephant).
As for reccurring characters, this show would have a cast so big, it would give The Simpsons a run for it’s money! Of course we still have characters that are tied to the parks like The Dreamfinder, Abigail Bullion, The Orange Bird, Figment, Patrick Begorra, Merriweather Adam Pleasure and the Great Esmeralda (the fortune teller, not the gyspy).
We’ve also got a whole lot of movie characters as well! Some allies that our crew will be meeting include Captain Nemo, Captain Brieux, The Rockeeter, Professor Otto Lindenbrock, Robin Crusoe, Klaus Wesselhoft, Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, Jack Sparrow, Dumbo, Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Tarzan, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Alice, Tiana, Naveen, Moana, Maui, Cinderella, Kuzco, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Rapunzel, Eugene Fitzherbert, Ariel, Mowgli, Baloo, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Lady, Tramp, Jack Skellington, Winnie the Pooh, Simba, Timon, Pumbaa and Jim Hawkins.
We would even get to meet younger versions of Pixar characters like a 9-year old Carl Frederickson, a trio of teenagers consisting of Bob, Helen and Lucius, and a still living Hector Riveria.
Movie characters won’t be the only ones featured, we’ve also got tv show characters as well like Scoorge McDuck, Perry the Platypus (in a fez!), Goliath and the Manhattan Clan, Dipper and Mabel Pines, Penn Zero, and even Wander and Sylvia.
The show would also feature some original characters as well. Some characters I had in mind were a group of teenagers known as the Descendants, who happen to be the descendants of Disney characters from the distant past like Kenai, Hercules, Mulan, Pocahontas, Aurora, Belle and Beast, and even Robin Hood. These group would share many of the traits, skills and even abilities of their ancestors.
But what would an adventure show be without it’s villains, and oh boy! Do we have quite the rogues gallery. There would be villains associated with the parks like former S.E.A. member turned greedy graver robber/black market dealer Garrett Reed, the vengeful ghostly bride Constance Hathaway, the terrifying Yetis of both the Matterhorn and Forbidden Mountain, the wrathful Hindu god Mara, the wild Bandito Gang, the extraterrestrial chairman L.C. Clench, the malicious Polynesian god of fire Pele, and the most feared buccaneer to sail the seven seas Blackbeard.
But don’t worry, we’ve also have iconic Disney villains to spare as well. We’ve got Jafar, Clayton, a young Charles Muntz, Davy Jones,Tamatoa, Dr. Facilier, Captain Gantu, Ursula, Scar, Shere Khan, Kaa, Hans, The Stabbington Brothers, Yzma, Mad Madam Mim, Emperor Zurg, Oogie Boogie, The Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, Doofensmirtz, Demona, Macbeth, Mozenrath, and Queen La.

The overall premise is rather simple. It's a simple adventure series with our heroes traveling to various locations across the world and meeting new friends and foes. But even with this simple premise, there would be some ongoing story elements and even arcs throughout the series like the cultural influence Atlantis possibly had on the world and Varian’s search for his missing mother.
As for the tone, it would be akin to that of Tintin, Jonny Quest, One Piece and even Disney's very own The Incredibles. While the show is mostly light-hearted and adventurous (with tons of meme potential, it would still have this adult feeling to it and wouldn't be afraid to tackle heavier themes.
The series would take place in a fantastical/retro-futuristic version of the early 20th-century (the 1930s to be precise), in veins of shows like The Legend of Korra and Samurai Jack.
And since this is a show that focuses on globe-trotting adventures, you better believe that there will be various locations that our heroes will travel to all across the world. Each one being associated with a theme park attraction, a film, or even a tv show!
Here's a list of some of the locations that would be featured in the show.
-Porto Paradiso (Italy, Mediterranean Harbor)
-New York City (New York, American Waterfront)
-Old Cape Cod (Massachusetts, American Waterfront)
-Port Discovery (The Atlantic Ocean, Port Discovery and Submarine Voyage)

The overall score would have a jazz/swing vibe to it, fitting with the 1930s setting, but it would change whenever they head to a new location (tribal beats in Africa, mystical wind instruments in Asia, or even accordions in more seaside areas.) Sometimes, the score would even play melodies of iconic themes of various Disney attractions and movies.
And let’s not forget songs. While most of the songs of this show would be original (each one being themed around a different genre that fits with the location the characters are currently in), there would be plenty that are either iconic Disney songs like “Prince Ali”, “Hakuna Matata” and “The Bare Necessities”, or songs from the Disney attractions like “Grim Grinning Ghosts”, “A Pirate’s Life for Me”, and “In the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room”.
Well that’s all for now. I hoped you all liked this little idea I came up with and if you liked, you can share possible episodes for this series.

S.E.A. Cinematic Universe
The Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise appears to have come to an end after fifteen years with its fifth installment, Dead Men Tell No Tales. Personally, while I love the films, this might be a good choice. You can only do so much with Captain Jack Sparrow, and Johnny Depp seems to be...
