Tusker House menu?

Hello everyone,
With all of the changes coming to animal kingdom this summer, we were hoping to save a fastpass and do the Rivers of Light dining package. Does anyone know if Tusker House has a rotating menu like Boma or Cape May? I'm thinking of the carving station specifically.
Problem: My father won't touch turkey or pork or seafood (or veggies really). He needs a slab of beef in his plate. We have steak dinners planned for the other two days he will be joining us, but I was hoping for something a little different. We only have half a day at AK.

Thanks. For some reason the menu is not available on the Disney site and I've found conflicting information on the internet. I wondered if it was maybe a different meat depending on the day of the week. I've been once before, but I'm a vegetarian. For the life of me, I can't remember what meat was served.

Greetings!

It has been some time since I've been to Tusker House, but my wife and I loved it (I eat meat and she is a pescatarian).

Anyhow, what I remember meat-wise at TH is they had a carving station where they had two or three different meats being served that were either seasoned with slight African flavors or served with special sauces on the side. I remember the meats being good enough to go back for a second round. I found it mildly adventurous yet very approachable for someone not too familiar with such flavors.

Hope this helps!

Each time I've been to Tusker House, they've had pretty much the same items on their menu. They may have some seasonal items but I don't recall. I do remember they had a pretty large carving station. I'm pretty sure they had beef, chicken, and pork options. But I don't really eat meat so I don't remember how it was prepared. But I just looked at the menu on Disney's WDW app and I don't see beef listed so maybe they stopped serving it?

@wdwmagic has the breakfast/lunch/dinner menus for Tusker House.

Thanks. I did check. Beef is not listed there, but I've seen beef mentioned in a few very recent reviews.

I will be dining at Tusker House tomorrow night and will ask for you.
Much appreciated. Thank you.
Will you be doing the dinner package? It starts tomorrow I think.

Thanks. This is exactly the problem I ran into. I'm hoping for a "beef sighting".

Thank you everyone. 6 more days until I can make my ADRs. I'm thinking I may just book it and take my chances.

Just checked Disney site and all ears.

Disney doesn't mention beef, lists chicken, pork and salmon.
All ears does list beef, spit roast chicken, pulled pork and salmon. Menu is dated as of Dec 2016 and is updated for 2017 dining plan, so I would think it's reliable.

Good luck.

@Baldy,

Just finished dinner at Tusker House. The only two items on the carving board are salmon and pork shoulder. I asked the chef if beef is ever an option and he said no, it is pork shoulder every night.

FWIW, the pork shoulder was fatty and chewy.

Thank you. I appreciate the update. I guess we will only book if my father is unable to come :( Did you enjoy your meal? Any recommendations?

Sad to see they've changed it. I wouldn't able to eat anything from the carving station now since I don't eat pork and salmon makes me sick. Bummer! Guess we'll be trying something different next year if they don't change again. Thanks :)

The character interaction was fun. The food was good, not great....liked the Cape Malay Curry Chicken (if you've had Butter Chicken it is the same).

My pleasure!

Please don't skip it because you don't eat 2 of the options because there are sooo many other items on the buffet:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:

I've eaten there 4 times already LOL. My husband's plate mostly consists of items from the carving station so there's no point in paying those prices if he's still going to be hungry after we leave :)
