Tuna Question

I love tuna but only cooked rare. So, I have a very specific tuna question.

First, do they ask you how you want your tuna cooked at Kona? I notice the following on the menu:

Togarashi Spiced Ahi Tuna
- served with Tempura Fried Vegetable Maki Roll and Red Wine Reduction $23.99

Second, do you know of any otheree WDW restaurants that sell tuna?

Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestions.

Bluezoo: Ahi Tuna - benne seed rub, fresh winter eel, braised shiitake mushrooms, daikon $39.00

Flying Fish: Ginger-Teriyaki crusted Yellowfin Tuna Filet - Asian Vegetable Stir-fry, Curry-Kaffir Lime-Lemongrass-Coconut-Carrot Infusion $40.00

Does anyone have any others to add to my list?

Also, are there any other tuna lovers out there? I'm curious about your experiences.

There's the Tuna Niçoise Salad at Be Our Guest for lunch. I dream about it sometimes...it's delicious.

I guess you can say I'm a lover of rare tuna as well. In fact, our 180 mark is coming up kinda soonish and we are eyeing Kona Café and I was planning on getting the Togarashi Spiced Ahi Tuna as well! :p

This is great info.

For other tuna lovers, the Spicy Togarashi Seared Tuna Noodle Salad $11.39 at Sunshine Seasons is to die for. And I do love the tuna tartare at various restaurants on property. And of course tuna sushi is some of my favourite.

I would not have known that you had request rare so that's good to know. When I have tuna in other cities, the servers typically ask how you want it cooked.

Kona used to have Tuna Oscar on their menu. It was fantastic and I always asked for rare it was spot on.

Also in the past Olivia's in OKW and Shutter's in CBR both had blackened tuna on their menus which is one of my favorites, Specially when served with a good remoulade. Another good dish was served @ 50's Prime Time which was Uncle Charlie's Tuna Noodle Casserole which was egg noodles in a cream sauce topped with a tuna steak cooked how you want it. It was delicious!

Some of the tuna available around the world.
