TSL Opening Day Question

So... I have an interesting question.

I am going to Hollywood Studios at June the 29th, to avoid the massive crowds that will obviously be there on the 30th... On the 30th, because it is TSL's opening day... What are the predictions of the crowds at Animal Kingdom? Will HS be the only slam packed park? Or will those crowds end up making all four parks insane?

We're skipping TSL because it just... Well. It doesn't look that impressive to us. It doesn't seem to be worth all of the hassle. Was it a smart thing to do HS on the 29th instead of the 30th, then? We'll be at the parks on June 29th-July the 2nd. HS on the 29th, AK on the 30th, MK on the 1st, and Epcot on the 2nd.

Does this seem like a good schedule with the given circumstances at hand?

Such good logic that you'd put Mr Spock to shame.

With the extra people coming for TSL, there will probably be some spillage into the other parks, I would assume that many of these family's are doing more than just TSL and will visit other parks and they all probably will not visit just for opening day. Don't forget schools are already out and some are waiting for the opening of TSL. I think the parks can all see an uptick in crowds for a few weeks.

I was at pandora last year on day 2. Got on a stuffed bus at 6 am to be there before 7... was in line for the ride at 6:45... took us an hour for that line. Now, getting into the park that early, We had EMH and we got in the park and they had ushers and taped lines leading you through the walkways.... then roped lines with water/cooling stations and we walked and walked and walked. There was a CM about every 10 feet directing you like an airplane towards the ride. we ended up on the bridge going towards lion king (new one- for those that have been). Lines grew throughout the day, and it did not go down for wait times.... up to about 240 minutes...

I would bet something like that on the 30th, maybe not quite that bad... but there is anticipation!

Yea that's why I'm avoiding HS on the 30th! What about the other parks though?? If you don't mind me asking. How drastically are the other parks affected by this opening?

I didn't notice a much larger crowd level at other parks throughout the week, but we did comment that it seemed busy. My guess is that they would all see a little bump, with AK the largest...
