Trying to plan to avoid lines

Sorry that this may be a boring subject and lots of people aks this but here goes. Trying to plan a trip Saturday 9th Feb through to Saturday 23rd Feb. I have read messages suggesting week 2 will be busy at its Presidents day week. What would you get out of the way in the first week ? Including MGM, Sea World, IOA, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom,Universal Studios. I hear conflicting stories that some are busier at weekends then in the week. Does anyone think that they may be less busy this year and perhaps people will stay away compared with last year ?

1st and most important...get to the parks at least 40-45 minutes early, and get your bags checked and line up at the turnstiles. This will put you in the park a little ahead of the rest of the crowd. Once in, everyone starts to disperse... so take advantage of that 1st hour when you can get more done than you can in 4 hours later in the day.

Take advantage of fastpasses.

Eat at off times, and get PS, because otherwise you might have to wait, or be turned away. Expect long lines at counterservice restaurants.

Ride during parades.

If they offer E ticket night, do it!

No matter when you go you'll hit lines some where. Use fast past if you can, if not don't worry about it, get in the line and wait.
I've always found the lines can be a great part of the holiday as this is when you tend to talk to people from all over the world, a wonderful experience for us all.
