Trying to plan a trip, HELP

OK...Here is the scenario, my friend and I want to go back to Disney, the only problem is that we are both in college and cannot afford to miss school. So the only two options we have (since spring break is out due to athletics) are Summer and the week after new years. We went last summer and had the time of our lives...but considering that we are strapped for cash, January seems like its a good idea since its considered a value time period for hotels.

Has anyone here ever gone during the first two weeks of the new year??? Are there still E-Ride nights at Magic Kingdom?? Does Pleasure Island still stay open till 2, and does it generate a good crowd? Are the crowds that are in the parks THAT low or is it a minimal difference?? Are the hours cut by a lot?

ANY answers or experiences would be greatly appreciated, Hopefully by this time next year we will be there or packing!!! Thanks a lot.

I've been there once in January. The lines are much much much shorter and there are alot less people. It's definately colder than the summer months and pants and long sleeves are recommended, but it's worth it.

As far as I know... E-Ride nights are year round. And they are only available on certain dates when you stay there. (EX: Only on Tuseday, Friday, and Sunday). E-Ride nights would probably be even better in the winter season because there's already less people.. But yeah.................... Hope that I helped some :)

E-rides usually don't take place from November-February.
There weren't any in Dec. 2003 and none are scheduled for January or February.

With the smaller crowds, you shouldn't need an e-ride night. Most attractions are 15-20 minutes tops during the slow seasons after Thanksgiving, New Years, and other slow times.
