Tropical Palms Fun Resort

We are coming to WDW in March of 2005 and are looking forward to staying at Tropical Palms.

The property is very highly rated on TripAdvisor.com, so I am not concerned about quality issues.

Has anyone stayed there before? Are there any attractions that are truly within a resonable walking distance? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I've been there, but haven't stayed there. The rooms (or whatever u want to call them) look really nice. We visited my cousin there and we were so jealous. Old Town is within walking distance.

Well got back today and would not recomend Tropical Palms at all. We spent one night and moved to a hotel on 192.

Our 3 cabins as they call them had worn carpeting through out,broken cabinets, mold on the walls and in the fridge,roaches ,ants and rodent droppings in the kitchen and bath, and an air conditioner that would not work in one . We complained and were refunded our money for the remaining days but they really didn't seem to care about it at all. My advice for the money you pay this place is a dump.

Thanks Egnatz. The problems you mentioned are indeed serious ones. We would have got 2 cabins, but now we are definitely leaning toward renting a vacation home!

Both my wife and I are allergic to mold, so we would be a wreck!

I just cancelled my reservation at Tropical Palms, and made reservations with All Star Vacation Homes!!!!!!

For $20 dollars more than two cabins a night, we are getting a 5 BR luxury vacation home with our own pool and jacuzzi!

Wow, TP must have really gone downhill since we were there last. I'm sorry you had such a horrible experience. You will enjoy All Star. They r beautiful homes!
