Tron Test Track Concept Renderings

Hey!! Just began to dabble into 3d modeling recently....I made some very crude mockups of what I thought Test Track cars with Tron theme may look like (I decided to post them because it appears Disney is doing a Tron refurb. So I wanted to release them before it became kind of old I guess ha.

I am also looking for the actual dimensions of Rides, buildings, vehicles etc...so if anyone has a good resource for that please let me know!

Good God. I hope they keep TRON a thousand miles away from this attraction. That would really screw it up. I sort of like the "tronish" accents that people are speculating on but actually having anything in the ride that was truly Tron would suck.

hahaha yeah...it was more because I was looking for something to play around with modeling that had some cool lighting features...and I found that Mercedes sports car that is very "tronish" and decided to just try that with a little disney twist.

Here is the better question would you rather have "Test Track: Radiator Springs" or "Test Track: Tron"?? lol now that's a hard one....Cars/Pixar invading epcot or the tron theme?

(Just wait, the pixar invasion is coming....they already got The Living Seas)

Don't get me wrong here, I'd love to see a TRON ride, in DHS. But I am one of those that think they ought to turn TT back into a WoM style ride.

hahaha, idk if I'll be doing that. I am tossing around some ideas for modeling bigger and better things... ultimately I'd like to model an attractions exterior, queue area, and maybe one scene for a new, or original attraction. (One I have really been kicking around is making a model for the long rumored "Doors Coaster" for Pixar Place, I think that could be kind of fun to do....although copy & pasting all those doors for the chase scene would...SUCK lol)

That would be awesome! Thinking about it, I don't think I've ever seen fan art for this coaster, which kind of surprises me considering all of the talk and hype around the project.

Yeah, as soon as I get done with finals in the next two weeks :brick:...then I will have some more free time for this kind of thing...

I hope TT is going down the route of being inside a computer simulation of a car, that way you could easily have outlandish effects being "programmed in" as you ride, like different weather, terrain etc. That way it could still have the Tron look and feel, without having to include any references to the movies, their plots or characters.

I don't know for sure, this week has been my first real "free" week in a long time...I've tossed around a lot of ideas, and even started on a couple...one is a "Avengers" type ride....technically couldn't go in florida but still....another was maybe the famed Monsters Inc coaster....another idea I tossed around included a "new" ride for animal kingdom (no movie tie in etc...original ride) and lastly, an Indiana Jones ride for the Studios...maybe a mix of the IJA and the coaster in Paris....not sure.

any opinions??
