tripods

Does anyone use a tripod at Disney? What kind do you use? How do you carry it? I am thinking about getting one for my next trip and wasn't sure what to buy.

The trouble with tripods...

They tend to trip people, generally get in the way and be quite bulky. A lot of people have suggested monopods instead.

I'm a monopod user and don't know what I'd do without it. That sais, I also take a small tabletop tripod (about 6" high) you never know when you might need it

I carry a mini tripod with me. I usually just find a trash can in the vicinity of what I want to take a picture of and set the tripod on top of it.

Basically, it's just like having one leg of a tripod, so long as you get one that extends long enough for your needs [if you're 6'5" you'll need a longer one than if you're 5'6"] and is small enough when it's retracted to be easy to carry around all day, you should be fine. Oh, and make sure the locks hold well when it's extended...
