First of all , this trip was fantastic, and the advice I got on this forum was really appreciated.
We arrived at MCO on SAt afternoon in a drizzle. Had reservations on Mears shuttle.they were in disarray and not copign well with the vacation week crowds. We got on in about 45 minuts because had had carried on our luggage and so didn't have to wait for it, but an angry crowd was building and I bet some folks stood there for well over an hour. Mears, no mas.
We arrived ar POR and checked in with no waiting. We got a room in Alligator Bayou, Building 14, just as I had requested in my fax!! It was drizzly but 78 degrees, heaven to us cold New Englanders! The ersort landscaping was green and beautiful with some azaleas in bloom, glorious! Our room was clean and in good shape, but the carpet a little mangy looking. Yes, it was dim as others have said, and I had my trusty 100 watt bulb to put over my bed so I could read at night. The room was extremely convenient to the food court and the bus, good thing because I needed to save my stength for the parks!!
Sat PM we went to the Hoop de Doo Review for dinner. The show was corny but thoroughly enjoyed by both of us (me and my 16 year old son) and the food was good as well! We then went to MK, rode Pirates of the Caribbean (an oldy but goody), and saw the Spectromagic parade - beautiful as we had remembered, and crowds were kept down by the drizzle.
