Trip report Oct14th - Oct 20th

I have just come back from a Great week at DISNEY WORLD and I want to thank all of you for your help and suggestions we had nothing but a great time and great service. I dont want to make this super long so I will go in sections.

Oct 14th
We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter and it was beautiful we arrived at 9:00 am and our room was ready to go. once we got settle my wife and I took our 17 month old to Tony's to have lunch with Pooh and the Gang.

Since my son is so young he likes the Characters but only on his terms but all was well and he even let eyeoore and tigger touch him. The service was great and since my son did not eat much they did not charge us for his dinner. We gave the cast member a huge tip since she did not charge us for him.

It felt like disney when I was a kid the Characters where every where just walking around in every park. My son loved he was so amazed when he saw Buzz Lightyear "Walking" around. He kept saying Buzz Walking all week.

We rode Haunted Mansion first and he did very well. He likes the Hitch-Hiking Ghost . rode Pooh, Snow White, and much more. we had some Ice cream and went back to the hotel to relax for the night.

But of course we decide to go to Downtown Disney to walk around and shop.

Day 2 was fun we went to typhoon lagoon in the morning my son loved it. we had to force him to leave.

My wife and I did Pin trading for the first time, she thought that I was crazy but once we got there she fell in love with Pin trading we spent sooo much money on pins even my son got into the act.
he has a good eye during our trip he picked atleast three lanyard pins from cast members.

That night we went to epcot. Epcot is my favorite park at night we did some shopping "bought more Pins":lol: and walked around. We ate at Norway which was fabulous and watched the parade. I love the Parade as I was video taping it the cast members made sure to smile or do something silly for the camera it was great so of course I bought the CD my son and wife danced all night around the park people must have thought we were insane.

but day 2 was a great day.
I have to say to all the cast members on this site that you guys do a great job. everyone that I talked to was so happy and eager to help and I was so impressed so I would like to thank you castmembers for truely making Disney Magic.

Hi there, was wondering how the crowds were in the parks when you were there.

I was wondering how the weather was for you? I am leaving tomorrow to stay at the WL, and I am not sure if I should pack more shorts or jeans?

I just got back and shorts are a neccesity during the day. At night you might want to pack a light pair of pants but I wouldn't pack jeans!! The weather was really hot at the beginning of our vacation on the 9th (90s) and ended begin seasonable (upper 70s low 80s- 60s at night). Pack your Mickey poncho, we did get a lot of rain.

Shorts are definitely needed it was Hot on somedays. but very comfortable. The crowds were OK I have seen less but some parks had good crowds. But again I am not an expert. when we went to the Halloween party it was packed but it was fun.


Day 3 We went to Animal Kingdom during the day. I love Animal Kingdom.I know many of you don't but it is one of my favorites. the Safari ride broke down so we did not get to ride it. We saw plenty of animals on the walking safari and my son thinks that every Gorilla is a monkey.

Again there were characters all over we saw Lilo one of my sons favorites and the Cast Members were again great stopping us and just talking and interacting with my family.

We went to Chester and Heaster land, Not My Favorite did not seem to fit but still was fun. We wacthed the guys playing music in the street and loved the Acrobats I love the music in the Animal kingdom it is like a party all the time.
My wife and I like to make fun of the guest that are dancing in the street but then finally the music took us and we found ourselves dancing every time we heard music.

Later we went to MGM and watched the Playhouse Disney show and to all parents this is a must do!!!! it was an awsome show I video taped it and the reaction of my sons face when Bear came out was priceless. That look alone was worth every penny I spent on this trip.

After a nap and some food we went to the Magic Kingdom for the night Parade and some rides. I had bought one of the Magical Moment Pins which was cool I lit up on all the rides made me feel more part of the Magic. Disney is so Cool.

Day 4

We went back to the Animal Kingdom to finish up Asia and some other things we wanted to do. We tried to find the path that leads down to the river next to the tree of life but we couldn't find it.

Again there were Characters everywhere and the street shows were great. we decided to let our son take a long nap because we were going to the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party

My Wife was Snow White she looked Awsome When I get the Pics I will post them. My son was Woody and I was a dinosaur ( a quick trip to chester and Heaster Land for a DINO hat)

It was hard to leave the resort every little girl really thought that she was the Real Snow White. once we got to the Park it was AWSOME It did not even seem like the Magic Kingdom

Once inside the Park it was completely transformed. It was do cool I would do this again in a heart beat.

I heard it was not going to be busy but the Park was crowded my wife even got asked for a couple of autographs. :lol:

We stayed until 11 we saw Mickey and Minnies house Donalds boat and Goofy molested my wife:lol:
funny thing every year a character always touches my wife its our game to see what character will do it .

We saw the Headless horseman and the Parade WOW Disney knows how to do it.

Day 5 coming up

Oh I forgot to mention what a great housekeeper we had she made ducks out of the towels and always left my sons stuffed animals in so cool position.

Once Bear was in the Bathroom playing with toilet paper and Stanley and Mickey were on the bed playing cards
and the other stuffed animals were on the bed wacthing the Disney Channel. I love Disney

Day 5

This was the last day with our son. His grandparents picked him up so we could have some ALONE TIME:sohappy:

We hung out at the hotel had lunch at House of Blues which was great and later had dinner at the Hoop Dee Doo revue

That was a hillarious show and will definitely do that again.

My wife and I cap off the Night at Pleasure Island and had a great time.

Well that is my trip report sorry if it is long.

Some things I would like to say, This vacation was great as I mentioned the service the characters and just interacting with the castmembers.

We are returning for three days in December and can't wait. I planned this trip for over a year and this site really helped .
