Trip Report from a non-Disney Fan

First off let me just say that i am a fan of x-entertainment.com. Its basicly a review of toys, commercials, movies and tv shows from my generation written by a guy about my age. I have been reading his site for years and normally he rips apart everything in a comical manor. I looked on his site a few weeks ago after not visiting on months and much to my amusement he recently went on a trip to WDW and documented it. It is a very entertaining read to see someone who is not a typical WDW fan enjoy themselves this much.

And here is the link to the articles 1-3:

http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/disneyadventure/part1/
http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/disneyadventure/part2/
http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/disneyadventure/part3/

The articles do have a little swearing in them due to the nature of the site, just a warning.

Enjoy!

yeah i read those and was highly entertained. i even learned a couple things! im definitely gonna keep an eye out for those super fast-passes!

You usually get those if a ride breaks down or something... I had a FP for Maelstrom but it broke down, so i took it to Test Track and the guy gave me a 'Super' FP that i used at Test Track.

yeah i know about those, but in the article, the guy talks about how he was just walking down the path from toontown to tomorrowland, the one that goes behind the raceway, and some CM was just standing there and gave them like 5 super fast-passes for no reason! THAT would be cool. also when i go, im going to have to try that drink in a pinneapple at the polynesian

Its even funnier if you have read this after any of his other articles. You get a better idea of how odd it is to see him have a good time in WDW.

It is heartening to see that even a sarcastic, cynical guy like Matt from X-E can be in love with Disney World.

Makes me believe that the people I know who hate WDW must have hearts made of ice... :p

His articles were a great read and it gives me hope at some of my friends may join my wife and I on a future endeavor to Disney... and then they'd discover that they may actually enjoy themselves in the world.

Everytime they hear that we are going or came back from the World, we are chastised in a friendly manor as Disney geeks and told to go to 6 flags, or another coaster park. Well I've been there and done that too... but 6 Flags type parks do not have as much to see and do as does the World.

Oh well... some day soon I'll get them down to FL with us....

Here's my fav quote from this series..."The dark ride debuted on the Magic Kingdom's opening day, and during your sixteen hour boat voyage, you'll visit with audio animatronic children from all the nations who unite our kingdoms with their familiar battle cry: "It's a small world, after all."

BTW has anyone else noticed that McDonald's apparently caused the Dinosaur extinction???

He's comments on the child seated near them at the Sci-Fi were some of the most amusing things I've ever read. I'll be cleaning spit out coke from my keyboard for weeks....

NO KIDDING, when he said "write this down" I am totally going to try that trick next time there is a brat around me.

That's definitely true - there are probably a lot more cool drinks I'll be trying next time I'm there. Beware: pineapple drinks causing pregnancy!

That report on WDW was just too funny ...I also loved the part at Sci Fi Drive-in.

It just proves that WDW can turn just about anyone into a fan!
