Reserved at All Star Sports.. two rooms, one for my folks, and one for christie and I... we paid for the "preferred" rooms...

Welp, we get there late at night on Friday due to work and other junk, so around midnight we hit the front desk.. we requested non smoking and closer to my folks (at least same building) and got a room on the other side of Surf's Up, and a smoking room... there was "nothing else" that night, even though we requested it. Oh well, next morning the moved us over, pool front, near my folks, and non smoking, so it all worked out :)

Hit the MK for a few hours.. btw the stairs to the RR in mainstreet are disgustingly moldy... they REALLY need to pressure clean that. ;).. Anywho, had a spin on a few rides in tomorrowland and left to hit the pool fora few hours.. some r&r, and off to meet our friends for reservations at the Canadian pavilion's steakhouse. By FAR this restaurant was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent at Disney.. $25 for a "filet mignon" that tasted like a sizzler sirloin (maybe worse?).. crappy wine list, crappy veal, had to turn my medium well steak for being medium rare... really not what I'd expect for a $110 bill at the end of the night for 4 meals, two beers, and two cokes. Pretty bad, avoid it at all costs. Hung out for a bit and called it a night...

We hit up MGM on Sunday and the place was desolate... kinda strange after being in jam packed parks/hotel the last day. But we got to hit R&R a few times, and the clasp on a diamond tennis bracelet that christie was wearing broke, and it got lost :(.. what can ya do.. we reported it to lost and found and haven't really heard back.. we're gonna call tomorrow. GMR was so empty they were only running one car.. THAT was weird, never seen that before...

Anywho.. it was a fun, quick R&R trip for us.. we'll be going back in October to actually be at the parks for a bit more :) Had some gripes this trip, but nothing can really make ya mad at Disney :)

It must be great to live close enough to the World to do "quickies"! Hope you mostly had fun! :D

Also, I do hope that Disney Magic prevails and some Good Samaritian finds and turns in the bracelet...:)

that steak house sure does suck! in canada, we have a resturant called 'the keg', and it is 10x better! u can get a 10oz. steak with salad and any type of patatoe for about $19.00...CND!! thats super cheap in american. Plus their food is HEAVEN.

You arrived as we left after a two week vacation.... our experience was exactly like yours. The parks are like ghost towns compared with previous trips. Our longest queue was 45 minutes for the check in desk at the airport!
