Hi all - We just returned home from WDW and I wanted to share a couple things that happened while we were there.

We decided to surprise my brother, our Disney trip organizer every year, with T-Shirts this year. The shirts said "I'm on vacation with John". The shirts were yellow with lime green writing and included palm trees (you're not on vacation until you see a palm tree) and on the bottom said "WDW 2002". My brother's shirt said "I'm John, on vacation." We walked into the Town Hall and were looking at the Disney art for sale when a cast member noticed the shirts. He told my brother his name was John as well, gave him "Celebrate" post cards for everyone, there was 10 of us, and had a budding Disney Animator draw my brother a 60 second Mickey. Definitely a Magical Moment. The shirts were a big hit.
While riding the TTA, we were lucky enough to ride through Space during a break down and saw it with the lights on, got some great video. Also, we were stuck on Dinosaur for about 10 minutes, again with lights on. We were walked off Test Track, it was stopped due to inclement weather and we had just completed the ride. The CM came to get us about 20 feet from the exit area. She gave us "first in line" passes that could be used at any time. Finally, we were stuck on Buzz for almost 1/2 hour due to a breakdown. The scores were reset three times during our ride. A CM came and walked us off. We got to see Buzz with the lights on too. Except for Test Track, all the rest of this happened during the full moon. After the full moon, no other ride broke down while we were on it.

Welcome back from WDW.....sounds like an interesting trip with the full moon! But then again, I'm a moon child and even I act weird on a full moon....hahaha....:goodnevil  :D

Where did you stay for your visit at WDW and what places did you enjoy food at?

My family and I are going in September and it will be our first time. I'm getting so excited and this message board has really helped me in getting prepared.

Welcome back form your trip. I'm sure you're probably missing it already, but glad you had a good time and interesting to see Space Mountain with the lights on. I bet that was a sight.

I thought you were my cousin responding to my posting. Two cousins of ours have the last name Creech and they are our traveling to WDW buddies. One of them was even in the college program 4 years ago. We stayed at the Polynesian Resort. It is our favorite. We always have dinner in the castle. This year we had a late priority seating so we could watch the fire works during dinner. Hollywood and Vine at MGM has a fun character breakfast that in our experience is not as crowded as some of the more popular ones. We ate at Teppanyaki Dining Room in Epcot. It's like a Benihana of Tokyo where they cook at the table. The Liberty Tree Tavern has a fun Character Dinner. You didn't say if you were traveling with children but if you are the Sci-Fi Dine In is fun. You sit in cars and watch B-movie trailers. The food is OK but the atmosphere is great. Email me if you want and I'll tell you some more of our favorite places to eat. Congrats, on the recent nuptials.
