Hello all! Fresh back from good old WDW and already I am in withdrawl. Anyhow, this is my first trip report and I am not the best at typing and explaining so please be easy on me!:D Also, my report will be spread out due to me writing this at work and never know when I have to go. So here we go........

FYI-There is 8 people in our group. 4 adults, 1 teen, 3 kids.(2 families)

Day 1:Woke up at Comfort Inn near the Philadelphia airport around 5am. Caught the 6am shuttle from the hotel to the airport for our 8am flight. Got to airport in about 10 minutes and checked in the backage after only about a 15-20 minute wait. Got through all of the new security with no problems and then relaxed until flight time. The flight down there was darn near perfect. As we went over Atlanta I waved to Mitzer as requested and got to Orlando a little after 10am. Got the luggage and then went to Mears so we could get transportation to the Port Orleans French Quarter hotel. We waited about 15 minutes for the bus and then we were on our way. Got to the hotel in about 30 mins. Went to check in and got our rooms right away. Building #2 right across from the cafe./office area. Our 1st impression was very nice. Very clean and nicely done. Got to our rooms did some unpacking and then headed to Magic Kingdom. By this time it is somewhere around 1pm. When we got into the park for the most part was not that crowded. We headed right down Main St. then made a hard left towards the Alladin ride. Walked right on. We proceeded to then go to the Swiss Family Robinson tree. As we came off the tree we were looking down at the stream and saw a few dead frogs. Thought this was kind of weird. We then moved on to jungle cruise and pretty much walked right on that also. We then stopped to a some McDonalds fries to hold us until dinner. We then walked over to check out the lines at thunder mtn. The wait was 30 mins. so we decided to move on. Walked to the haunted mansion and waited about 15 minutes. We then headed towards Fantasy Land and got our first signature from Dopey standing at the old skyway bldg. Walked past peter pan and its 25 minute wait and then decided to go on its a small world. Wait time was around 5 mins. By this time it was almost 5pm and we had priority seating for the Crystal palace so we decided to head over. Got in after about a 15 min. wait. The place looks as good as ever since the rehab. Food was great and the kids had a ball with the characters. I did have one to many pieces of carrot cake though. That is a big weekspot. After we got done eating we watched the spectro magic parade and the fireworks. both we good as always. After the fireworks we decided to call it the eve. and get an early nights sleep. Headed back the the resort got our mugs so we could refesh ourselves and walked around a bit to check out the pool, etc. Then we went to bed. Day 2 will be at Epcot and we have a priority breakfast for Norway scheduled.:sohappy:

Sounds like the parks were fairly crowded for what I would think would be a dead time (except of course, for the frogs)

I was considering this time for next year--the full week after ML King weekend.

hmmmmmmmmmm:confused:

DAY 2

Day 2 I woke up around 6:30am. Went for an early AM jog around the complex then down to Riverside & back. Really pretty!
Got everyone up and going so we could get to our priority seating at Norway for breakfast. Got to Norway just as it was opening. The food was good(especially those cheese potatoes) and saw Belle,Pocahontas,Mulan,Mary Poppins & Sleeping Beauty! The girls loved it!:sohappy: By now it is around 9:30. We head back to future world and did 3 spins on test track. Hardly any wait. Lucky we didn't :hurl: since we all just gone stuffing ourselves.:zipit: We then moved on to Universe of Energy. A little wait there but not to bad. Once in, my littlest(Amber) starting crying because it was dark. Go figure. She didn't cry for the dinos.:lookaroun We got out of there and headed to body wars. I decided to stay out with Amber while everyone else went on. So we went to Mouse Gear to kill some time and look around. About a half hour went by and we met back up. We bought a couple of pins for trading while we were there but that was all. After this we headed for spaceship earth. No line once again. Of course once in the ride Amber started to cry again because of the darkness.:( But she was ok after awhile. After the ride we messed around in AT&T for awhile checking what was new. We then proceeded to the Living Seas. The cars are still down which upset us a little. After that, we decided to get some snacks to hold us over until dinner. As we ate we walked over to The Land to do the boat ride. As we were walking over Amber fell asleep in her stroller so my wife decided to skip this one. Little did we know once we got in that the ride was down and they didn't know how long it would be. So we scrapped that idea and made a b-line to Honey I shrunk the aud. This is where it all started. It was my turn to stay with Amber so everyone else went in. After a few minutes Amber woke up. So I figured lets go check out the New Imagination ride. At the beginning, Amber started to cry(dark again). But once the figment came out. The rest is history. My daughter was in love.:hammer: She went nuts for him. We then proceeded to go on the ride 3 more times. By now she was addicted some I bought here a figment doll to help the urge. We had to call it quits because our party was waiting for us outside. By now it was getting close to dinner time so we headed to Cananda where we had priority seating reserver. We looked around a little in some of the stores first but got there right on time. The atmosphere was good and so was the food. Everyone pretty much either got steak or beef tips. Love the bread too! After dinner we headed over to Mexico & Norway to look around and do the boat rides. Virtually no lines as usual. Then it was time to go back and do some more Test track. Lines were next to nothing so we rode once again several times(once for Mitzer as asked). Now it was around 8:45pm and time to go get some seats for Illuminations! Crowds were small and we could sit just about anywhere we wanted. We sat down and I had a child on each side of me in my arms. Talk about a Disney moment. The show was great. Everytime I see this show it gets more beautiful. We then headed back to our resort & did a soda run.....time for sleep and MGM tomorrow!

Creekwayne, glad you had a good time! A quick question for you, were you able to sleep OK by the airport or was there alot of noise from airport traffic, planes, whatever? We are also leaving from Philly and are debating between getting a hotel room or using Rapid Rover the morning we leave.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi jenjie! Thanks for the post. Sorry to you and everyone else for not finishing the report yet. Just been real busy here at work.:hammer: I will get it done! Anyhow, to answer your question about the hotel. The hotel I stayed at is approx. 3 miles away from the airport right on Rt.95. Exit 8 I believe. As far as the noise goes from airplanes, cars etc. You can't hear a thing once you are in the hotel. I was really surprised. When I first saw where it was located I thought for sure I wasn't sleeping. But I was wrong. Got a good nights sleep.:snore: If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask either via this post or PM.

Thanks for that amazingly quick response! :) That's great info about the hotel. I wrote it all down. Staying there would probably get me close to 2 hours more sleep so I think I'm going to try to persuade dh in that direction. :animwink:

No problem jenjie! Glad I could help. That is pretty much how we figured it. It would not only get us about 2 more hours sleep but it would be easier on our kids.:sohappy: It is better to sleep the whole night through then get up early and fall back asleep then wake up again.:snore: Again. Feel free to ask with any more questions......

It's a long story.... I will probably still go, but not for as long as I hoped. I will know by the end of March. My May and June trips are still good to go though.

Day 3

Actually slept in a little today. Woke up about 7am. Everyone got dressed and we ate breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we then headed over to MGM Studios. Has a bus driver that I must say was about the best I ever had. Sooooooo funny. It really started the day out right. Anyhow, got in the park. It was a little cool but not bad. The park was pretty dead.:lookaroun So we decided to go right for the big boys. Tot & RnRc. Got to Tot and there was virtually no line. Maybe 5 minutes. New Tot4 sequence rocks. Loved it! We decided to go on 3 more times before we decided we should do something else. Walked over to RnRc. A little wait here but not bad. Only 10 mins. Went on more more time. Line was up to 15mins. at this time. Started to head back towards the hat. While walking we went into all the shops to check things out. Of course we spent extra time in the villians store!:hammer: We then checked out times for Indiana Jones. We had 30 mins. to kill. So we went and hit Star tours to kill some time. No wait again. Went back to Indiana Jones. The one guy in our party(Paul) got picked to be in it. It was so funny!:p He is about 6' 285 lbs. Seeing him in that outfit. Too funny. After that was done. Muppets. Same old story no line. Show good as usual.
After that. Stopped for some snacks& drinks. Got some pics with Woody and the gang at the red barn. Girls loved it!:sohappy:
Now it was time to let the kids spend some of their "energy"! We headed to honey I shunk the kids playground. Just outside, there was about 8 characters for the taking. Kids went nuts.:hammer: After about 15 mins. of character chasing we finally go into the playgroud. We all looked at our watches and said we would meet back in 45 mins. The kids had a blast. Amber kept going on the same slide over and over. Smiles from ear to ear.:) We then headed down toward Who Wants to be a Millionare. Just in time. Show starts in 20 mins. Got in. Paul finished 4th on the 1st set of questions. So close. Then on the 2nd set of questions I was actually in the running. Finished 5th when time ran out. I never do that good. It figures. Got done with that and had to go and see Mickey. Kids we dying to see him. We then headed over the Disney Playhouse. Amber was asking to see Bear. Once there we noticed the some had already started. We we upset. But just then a CM came out and asked if we wanted to come in. We said "you bet". Once in, the show was started but wasn't that far. There was still alot of sitting room left. Amber was in awe.:D She was dancing! Cutting a mean rug for a 2yr. old. Another priceless Disney moment.:sohappy: By now it was getting close to dinner time. We had priority seating for 50's Prime Time Cafe. One of my favorites. Got right in. We had one of the better waiters. Lots of interaction. Did the whole plane thing and everything. Food was good as always. By now it was a little after 6pm. We still had about an hour left till the park closes. We decided not to do fantasmic tonight so rides it was. Went down to ToT. Rode that another 3 times before it was time to go. As we were headed out. It started to get a little windy and cold. Went and got a sweat shirt from the Emporium(along with other little goodies of course) and headed out of the park. Of course I wanted to do some park hopping and go to Epcot. The other family was tired. My wife and Amber were shot so all of them headed back to the hotel. So it was me and my oldest(kirah). On to Epcot. It was about 8pm by the time we got there. So what else do we do but head to Test Track. A little line but not bad. Only about 10 mins. We did a quick bathroom break and then headed back for more. Rode it 4 more times. Love that ride. We then ran over to watch Illuminations as it was just starting. That was fun. Watched the show and headed back to the hotel. Did the usaul. Got some drinks....Ak tomorrow.
