Hello ev'ry body!
Just got back from Disney World and had a great time!
09/23: arrived into orlando at roughly 1030, and after finding our luggage we looked around for our driver from tiffany town car. Well, he wasnt there. So we found another tiffany driver and he was more than happy to call us a ride, but as we walked outside and waited, someone from airport security comes up to us and asks us a million questions about where we met this guy, and if we pre-arranged this. (the man was of arab descent). Apparantly (as told to us by our driver) they have bands of gypsys that come and pick up people from the airport and steal business from the other companies, usually leaving people stranded without money or what have you...
anyway, we get to our hotel: Port Orleans Riverside and check in. Upon checking in, i ask for a list of hidden mickey's (which in many guide books is encouraged) and they lady gives me a really hard time. she says: "whats a hidden mickey" and when i explain it to her she gives me a dirty look and asks the person next to her. anyway, on our way in i saw a lady holding a list and i had asked here where she got her list of hidden mickeys. the lady responded by telling me that she had received it from the front desk. Anyway, back to the front desk. The lady calls around and huffs and puffs and finally she calls someone on the phone. the phone gets handed to me and a person on the line tells me that hidden mickeys and the list are for "cast members only" and is "not to be given out to hotel occupants"
We then proceed to the magic kingdom where we wait forever for a bus to get there. we saw 5 epcot busses pass bye before we got a mk bus. anyway, we get to the mk and its pretty empty. we walk onto everything except pooh! it was amazing! i had never walked onto anything before..lol. that night we went to fulton's crab house and had an amazing dinner.
The haunted mansion was open, however it had a covering over the outside of one of its rooms. The elevator was kinda shaky inside, i dont remember it being that way. They also had people knocking on the walls when you enter the elevator.

Today was our big epcot day! We hop on a bus to epcot and had a blast. again we walked on every ride except the Land. i thought to myself: What a weird pavilion to have a wait. i expected the wait to be long for test track or imagination. Anyway, the new ride looks AWESOME from the outside. The spaceship earth monitors look hideous. it could be worse i guess....
we purchased one of those magic moments pins and loved it. For the nightcap we went to dinner at the teppanyaki dining room. We are sitting there having a drink and our waiter comes out and starts to warm up when all of a sudden: the lights go out.....someone comes out of the back and says: "the entire park is out..could be hour...hour half." so we sat there and chatted with the other couple. The manager comes out and gave the peope behind us free dinner cause "they couldnt ring up" the people left a little money because they felt bad....now thats disney...i applaud them for that, i would have done the same too. Finally, after about a half hour tops, the lights come on and we have an amazing dinner. i was bummed (as was everyone else) we didnt receive a discount or anything. oh well, cant complain. So my girlfriend and i walked around the world showcase and we saw an open space of land with a board around it with one of epcots refurb signs. Hopefully that will be "spain." (see article on the epcot page). We head to italy where they are repainting the tower and during the fireworks i propose to her in the middle of the piazza. it was amazing.
we went to the boardwalk that night and went to jellyrolls. it was awesome! its a dueling piano bar and they two guys were excellent. they played everything from "purple rain" to "margaritaville" you had to be 21 to enter however and supposedly tuesday night is free night for cms. i absolutly recommend it!

We did both animal kingdom and mgm today. Walked onto everything again. We watched tarzan rocks and it was alright, more for kids i thought. tower of terror was great! they dropped us 5 times! it was such a blast. The rain was off and on. typical florida weather i assume. we had lunch at the rainforest cafe in the animal kingdom. The menus are different and the food was better. i was bummed cause they stopped serving Cabo Wabo Tequila. If anyone has had this, let me know! its AWESOME! best tequila ever. so i was bummed cause they used to make a drink called a waborita (sammy hagar's creation...the drink and the tequila). so i ask for one and they come back and say: "well, we can make it with sauza...." im thinking to myself: well, then it wouldnt be a waborita then would it?!?" anyway, good day all in all.

today we did all of the "shows" at magic kingdom and epcot. we walked onto everything again, but the crowds seemed to have picked up a little. we say presidents and saw the tiki room. After our morning/afternoon in mk we went to epcot. We walked the world showcase again and rode spaceship earth again. We had dinner in the San Angel Inn. VERY GOOD DINNER (AWESOME MARGARITAS!) we sat right next to the river!! it was perfect.

final day
we went to downtown disney and shopped till we dropped. I was glad to join the disney club cause we got 10% off our purchase at the world of disney. we bought like $200 worth of merchandise and saved $20! the card has paid for itself already. we also received complimentary (spelling is bad today) wine glasses at fultons and 10% off at Rainforest Cafe. :drevil:
Summary: Awesome trip. The only complaints we had was bus service wasnt as good as before (prolly cause of value season) and the cm at port orleans riverside giving me a hard time about the hidden mickeys. perfect time to go!!!
