Trip Planning

We are trying to plan a trip down to WDW and are having trouble deciding on the week to go. We know both of the crowds are going to be relatively low between January 24-28 or January 30 to February 3 but we are trying to figure out which time would be the best go. Martin Luther King Day is on January 20 and we are wondering if that could effect the park population. Any ideas?

We have been there for both of those weeks. Either of those weeks would be a good time to go. We arrive February 1st. The MLK weekend will be busy, and somewhat the rest of that week.

I actually went last year January 7-13th the crowds were very low. Even with the races going on during the last few days of our vacation it was still great. I've now booked a vacation for January again from the 7th-15th. And a few years back I did go the beginning of February 1st-7th I think, and again no issues. It's really a great time to go.

January 21 through February 11th are several of the best weeks to visit of the year with decent weather, some of the lowest crowds of the year, and the lowest prices at Disney. Both dates are pretty good. There is a HS Cheer Competition at the studios the Saturday before the Super Bowl. Super Bowl Sunday is a great day to tour the parks since most people will be at home getting ready for the game.

Overall, you will be good either weekend. If you are planning to go to the parks on Super Bowl Sunday, I would go that weekend. If not, go on the 24th
