trip planning videos or DVDs

Is anyone aware of any trip planning videos or DVDs put out by Disney or anyone else? We are planning a visit to WDW in November and having a hard time get a sense of the parks/resorts etc, from just still pictures and written descriptions. I would think the younger kids in particular would really like having something to watch to get ready for the big trip.

Thanks in advance.

First of all, Welcome!

Secondly, you can order your trip planning DVD or video directly off the disney.com website. We get a new one every year! My kids have been watching it lately as we will leave for WDW soon.

Also, make sure you order both the VHS and the DVD...the DVD is better than the video, but the VHS comes with more paper materials - maps and such. I accidentally got a VHS copy last week and was very pleasantly surprised to see several resort guides and such that didn't come with the DVD.

I accidently was sent the vhs tape too. I could not watch since I have no vcr. But there were extra materials. And of course dvd is great.

Was it in the last week or two? I think they may have run out of the DVDs, because I had requested a new package (I had loaned mine out) and I'm positive I requested a DVD again this time but as I said ended up with the VHS as I said above.

The video on the DVD and the VHS really is just a big commercial for "Magical Gatherings" and probably won't be very useful to anyone who reads these boards, but the paper materials included with the VHS are great - including a full resort guide with maps to all the themeparks and details about each and every resort on the property.

I reccomend ordering both - heck, it's about the only free thing you get from Disney - take advantage of it. :)

i also agree...the DVD is awesome! and well worth it, especially if you are unfamiliar with all the parks and resorts. also its fun to watch every now and then (or all the time :lookaroun: )
