Very comfortable sneakers. Not a new pair, but a nice broken in pair. Everything else I can manage. I'm from South Florida and I've worked alot outdoors, so even in the summer I can manage the heat. For those that aren't from down here, lots of sunscreen and drinks lots of fluids. Don't stress over the sweat. You want to sweat. It's your body's way of staying cool.

I totally agree with you about the hand soap. I have been taking my own bottle of hand soap for a few years now. After using the bathroom in the hotel room who would want to use bar soap that someone else just used! Yuck! I am a germophobic anyway so I just need "more" than a bar of soap to wash my hands.

I also cant live without lots of sani-hands wipes, a large bottle of Purell and of course Band-Aids.

Sun screen. I don't burn easily at all, but miles and miles of reflective concrete and the relentless Florida sun is enough to burn pretty much anyone. I bring a milder sunscreen for my face and a stronger sunscreen for my arms, neck and feet. I don't think I would enjoy my trip half as much without it.

Also, ever since getting caught in a hour-long downpour, which our tiny umbrellas (which we forgot) would have been powerless against, we now always pack a couple single-use rain ponchos. Sure, they look really stupid, but not as stupid as you look walking around the parks after a 60 minute rinse cycle.

Underwear..

JK I don't pack underwear. :ROFLOL: No seriously I do pack them.

Bringing some Advil for the occasional headache is essential and our iPad. Can leave home without it!

a must bring for us is those mini travel umbrellas that fit in your back pack. You can find them at your local CAA/AAA (AA in the UK I believe??), not the cheapeast but worth the investment.

Umbrellas make the rain much more bearable. When the rain isn't beating down on your ponchoed head, it is easier to ignore.

Chapstick, sunglasses or a visor (or I'll be squinting the entire trip!), band-aids, Excedrin, waterproof mascara, sunscreen, plus all the other usual necessities.

My husband concentrates on making sure he has all the camera equipment we'll need. Of course, this list will change for our October trip when we'll have a child with us for the first time!

I always bring my prescription migraine meds ( would die without them) and of course the painkillers that go with them. Sanitizer wipes, moleskin for blisters (have never had any at WDW but as soon as I stop bringing it is when we will get one), shampoo, conditioner, etc. And now with our daughter being 15 we will have a hair straightener, make up (I just don't wear it anymore), hair gels, hot iron spray and whatever else she needs for her hair.

Sunscreen, sunglasses, and the most important item of all - ponchos.

I will say this again on this topic, and from reading its the most forgotten item. No one ever list this as there one thing they cant forget or most important item. You can also tell when its a late hot August night heading back to your hotel on a crowded bus after a firework show.

PEOPLE PLEASE DON'T FORGET THE DEODORANT!!
That for ME is the most important thing that you should bring. Its obvious some either forget it or don't use enough of it. :hurl:
