Trip Planning Dilemmas...

Hi everyone! I'm trying to get some information together for my mother and grandmother. (I have a few questions that hopefully have some easy quick answers.) They will be arriving in WDW next week and i'm trying to get as much info together as possible to make sure they get to see as much as possible. Granted I've been there 4 times in the past 2 years, i know a good deal of stuff, there's still things i need some help with. See my mom still has her years to get back down there with me, so i can show her it all, but my grandmother, seeing how she's only been to WDW two other times in her life, this is most likely her last time visiting, as morbid as that sounds. So if anyone can help in any little way, i will appreciate it SOO much. :o

1. Ok they're going to be staying at the Polynesian and i recall a man playing a guitar and singing in the seating area outside of the restaurants, which was so nice and relaxing to just sit and listen to...are there certain days someone is there, or certain times?

2. Is there a good spot to watch the electircal water pageant from at the Poly? and around what time is best?

3. At Epcot, I saw this very nice musical performance in the china house movie waiting room. Is there a performance before every movie showing? if so how often?

4. Epcot's amazing fountains, they dance every half hour right?

5. In Japan and China i know they have the outdoor shows with the drums and the children, is there certain times for that? or is it different every week?

6. The dreams stage show, i know they have posted times on that sign thing and in the little flyer thing, but are those times the same everyday?

7. I once saw, when i was on the TTA, the tomorrowland band, which i thought was very entertaining, same thing..do they play certain days/times? if so when?

8. The signers that come down Main St. is that only during like the first hour MK is open?

9. DAK- Nemo and Lion King shows, do the times change week to week?

10. MGM- Beauty and the Beast show..same as above, do the times change week to week?

11. Voyage of the little Mermaid- is that continuous through the day?

That's all i could come up with, if anyone has any little tips or other things that you might think a mother and her mother would enjoy and appreciate that i most likely don't know about, like that music show in the china house (stuff like that)...please let me know. If it's something i don't know about i'll most likely check it out myself the next time i'm down there this summer. :) I love finding new things to do when i'm there, and i always do, and i'm sure i always will. Thanks again all! :)

I don't know what time, but anywhere on the Poly beach will be a good spot as long as trees don't block your view of the water.

4. Epcot's amazing fountains, they dance every half hour right?
I'm sure you'll catch this - it seems like they're doing it every time I see them.

6. The dreams stage show, i know they have posted times on that sign thing and in the little flyer thing, but are those times the same everyday?
When you get into the park, grab a map and the Times Guide which is the white paper schedule that is next to the maps. It has the listings for all the day's showtimes.

9. DAK- Nemo and Lion King shows, do the times change week to week?
10. MGM- Beauty and the Beast show..same as above, do the times change week to week?
11. Voyage of the little Mermaid- is that continuous through the day?

Again for 9-11, grab a Times Guide at the park entrance for showtimes.

Hope the trip is great!

For most of the shows you have listed they do change times week to week - just a little bit sometimes. Maybe they'll take a different day off than expected. The Steve Soares website is great help in planning your visit, however he can only post the schedules on Sunday at the beginning of the week. That's when they are available. Unfortunately, there is no way to plan a visit weeks in advance in order to catch the desired shows. You can make a stab at it with Steve's website, and then tweak it when the actual schedule is posted on Sunday. That's what I usually do.

Two years ago my husband and I took a trip without the kids, which I dubbed the "Countries and Shows" tour. We saw almost all of the entertainers, but still missed Mulch, Sweat, and Shears, because they changed days and I didn't catch it. Otherwise it was wonderful. Be sure she also sees the candymaker at Japan (Miyuki), which is fascinating.

If you PM me, I'll send you the spreadsheet I put together describing all of the different entertainment. I used it to plan our trip. I think you are very kind to plan all of this for you mother and grandmother!

Epcot's amazing fountain dances every fifteen minutes, with a unique show for each quarter-hour. Meaning that there are four different "shows", one at each :00, at each :15, each :30, and :45.
