The trip countdown feature is not currently available. @wdwmagic said in a post yesterday that it should return in the future if I remember correctly.

Keep in mind that these new forums were meant to roll out with the website re-design several months from now. But due to the issues on the old forums @wdwmagic worked very hard to get the new forums up and running to keep the free access you enjoy available at top performance. It is a feature that will likely make a return, so please be patient.
