Trip 4/19-4/24

My husband and I and another couple just returned from a great trip. We stayed at POR and it was WONDERFUL! Everything was beautiful and clean including our king room. We stayed in Parterre Place and had a decent walk but didn't mind. Never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus and most times we had a seat.

We were very surprised by little to no waits for many attractions especially during Easter break. The longest we waited was 30 minutes for Rock'n'Rollercoaster. My husband rode it four times in row on 4/21 from 9:30 to 10.

We were on the Premium Plan which was great except most castmembers had no idea how it worked when it came to dining. We had to argue with them several times about ordering whatever we wanted. Two times they had to get their managers to confirm that we could do this. This took up a lot of time in line. That really was our only complaint about the trip. We ate dinners at :
Cali Grill -best meal we had but service was very slow:slurp:
Le Cellier-great meal
Hollywood & Vine- worst meal there; will never go there again
Teppanyaki Dining Room- fun and great food
Cinderella's Royal Table- fun but probably won't do again; food just so-so
We also ate lunches at Backlot Express, Tusker House, Biergarten, Ray's Starlight Cafe, and Rainforest Cafe. We were very disappointed in Rainforest Cafe as the four of us racked up a $300 meal and it was just so-so. Oh well, it was part of the premium plan anyway!

The guys golfed and had a great time. We also did Keys to the Kingdom Tour and it was awesome. I highly recommend it! I learned so much!

If anyone has any questions, please ask!

I've done the premium plan when it was called the Deluxe plan.

It's alot of fun to do. Did you get the chance to do any recreation with it?

I'm surprised that the cast members didn't know much about it, but that was probably because the newer meal plan is more popular and used much more.

Glad you enjoyed your time!!!

zjohn1988 how much does that dining premium plan cost?

You can't just buy the premium dining plan. It is actually part of the premium package that includes other things like golf, water recreation, Cirque du Soleil tickets, tours, horseback riding, etc. We liked it alot but it was expensive if you don't do a lot of the stuff offered. I think we paid an extra $500 per person for our five night trip for it. We definitely made our money back though as we did golf, tours, Cirque, and a lot of food!

I saw you mentioned that Hollywood and Vine was the worst meal. We're eating there in June. What was bad about it? Food, atmosphere, service? Also, we're doing a lot of character dining for table meals, (we have the regular dining plan), and I'm not sure if two table meals is worth it for Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast, should we just pay for that and use two meals elsewhere? We're also doing the fireworks voyage with Peter Pan and Captain Hook with the desert buffet at the contemporary. Anyone know anything about that, is it good?
Thanks,
