Trip 11/5/04

Well, a very short report because I have no time!

I went to the park for one reason - Believe is back! More on that in a second.

The Park is in process of becoming Christmas - at least I hope they aren't finished. The wreaths are up on the lampposts and the tree is standing and decorated. The garland is strung across the street. The shops have decorations above their doors. The Castle is getting some Christmas treatment too. The Hub was bare, lights in the trees but that is it - nothing on the ground. Very very plain - I hope this is just a timing issue and not a cut back.

The Park was busy, but not packed. I caught Believe just to the right of exiting the cental hub part headign towards the castle. I was able to stand there right under a speaker and not block anyone.

WOW! I love this show! I was so happy watching it makes it return. Powerful and moving with an awesome display of fireworks. A video will apprear on Visions Fantastic in the very near future. (Http://www.visionsfantastic.com)

I also headed back to IaSW. Looks great and got the normal Christmas treatment.

I didn't do much else, just there to catch the fireworks.

Are they using lights on the castle at night yet? They weren't when I was there a week ago, and it just looked empty at night.

The Castle was all lite up before, during, and after the show. I have a bunch of pictures I will be uploading this evening to the VF gallery - I will let you know when accomplished.

No Holiday Wishes yet...although I believe they have special fireworks during the Very Merry Christmas Party, and I am fairly certain Reflections of Earth has a special holiday finale b/t Thankgsgiving and New Years.

RU! We just missed you! My gal pal Heather and I were standing probably about 20 feet away from you! We watched the fireworks right across the street from the coffee cart at the hub! It was stunning. See you at the meet I hope!

yep, we would have been very close. I need to film from that spot next. It seems some of the firework cannons have been moved, the ones that appear just behind the Castle. From where I was a lot of them seemed off - different then with Believe. I think the angle from where you were would line up those fountains/shooting balls a lot better.

Yep, I plan on being to a least part of the meet.

Actually, they didn't look right behind the castle form where we were standing either. They looked off to the left quite a bit. There's got to be a better vantage point. We did have 1 small tree to contend with too.

OK, so it wasn't just me. They appeared slanted to me in front of the Castle how they used to appear by IaSW. It must be really bad there now. If your vantage point wasn't good then I guess it would look pretty stright on from Rivers of America area.

Hmmm... I think it's always been that way, unless it was just moreso the other night. I remember pointing out to friends on several occasions that the fireworks were off to the left of the castle when they were thinking about photo angles.

I am going to need to pull up my old Believe video and see which one is off - me or the fireworks.
