Does anyone know what the tribute to 20k will be in this new land? I am sure there will be something, was just curious if anyone was in the know?

I haven't seen anything even remotely resembling what you ask about.

Mermaid is "Under the Sea", and there will be water outside. That's about it. No tribute at all planned.

It could be something small placed in an attraction, like the "Mr. Toad handing over the deed" painting correct?

I think that if I could see anything being done, maybe one of the old Nautilus subs could be painted very subtly in the background ocean in the TLM ride and they could cover it.

Not sure if they actually would do anything like this, but it would be nice to see if they did.

Well, the Pooh tree from Pooh's playful spot had the original 20K Leagues tribute. I believe they've moved the tree intact across the walkway. Do you think they would get rid of that little sub image? Do you think... that they think... they need another tribute?

I was kind of hoping one of the actual subs would emerge somewhere. The ones that are buried underground in storage containers on property.

it would be so cool to see a sub emmerge subtly in little mermaid. that was one magnificent ride and it was really stupid of disney to take it out in the first place and leave the lagoon dormant for 10 years. i bet that cost just as much as operating the ride. tsk tsk haha.

I know they have 1 sub they use for presentations and special decors as to the others, i know most were scrapped for the metal and i think they kept a few maybe 1 or 2. doubt their full ones though, but i'm sure they could rebuild half of one for a tribute or something.

we should all call disney and say how we feel there should be a tribute to this. like a "general comment" or call WDI and leave a voicemail saying what we think. Im sure they've thought of something though seeing as their dead on where the old show building was. can't get much more personal. :dazzle:

Most of the subs were scrapped by for pieces to sell to fans and then were demo-ed, but i know there are 2 subs they painted and sank over at Castaway Cay.

And I agree that Ariel's collection would be the best place for a little model sub
