Just to tell you guys that the teaser for Treasure Planet is already online. I saw it at http://www.movie-list.com/. It looks... intense. I don't know, a little too much anime, perhaps? I like pirate stories, but it doesn't seem to have one, even thought it's based on Treasure Island.

By the way, Lilo & Stitch's full trailer, the one with the Lion King, is already online. It gives you a better look at the story line. And I still think Disney is aiming for a Pokémon-type craze... :hurl:

I didn't really like the trailer for Treasure Planet.

It's not even giving me a decent movie feeling. I wasn't super enthusiastic about Atlantis and this is less appealing than the trailers for it.

Dan, how much of this is hand drawn and how much is computer generated or do you even know? This isn't Pixar is it?

Yeah, it's the same feeling I had, Brent. It doesn't seem DISNEY, does it?

And I don't think it's Pixar. The computer stuff seems the same they've been using on stuff like Return to Neverland and Beauty and the Beast.

This is not pixar..it is Disney Animation....they do have a pretty strong 3D animation department (they did Dinosaur)...as is typical with Disney movies..i would say this is probobly at most 25% computer animation...and the rest is hand drawn...but all colored in computers. I personally think it looks really good..and MUCH higher quality than that of anime (BTW..I hate anime...i think it doesnt take talent to make a bad story and to do an animation at 10 frames a second)...I wont really judge much of it just yet, i'll wait until a 2nd trailer comes out ;)

I hate anime too, that's why I get scared when I see something so out of the Dsney-pattern we all know and love.

But hey, you're the expert, so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt... :D
